I would say that for 80% of my projects, this little Ryobi accessory kit has covered my needs. While I like it, I want to find a higher quality product if it is available with the same configuration of drill bits, screwdriver bits, torx bits and magnetic holder. I don't mind if it has a few more bits but I don't want anything that is dramatically bigger.

Have you seen a quality product that has a similar footprint?

Thanks in advance.

The time for getting a replacement kit was during the pre Christmas sales when every big box stores had them at less than half price.

I view all of these bit kits as consumables regardless if it says Milwaukee, Dewalt, Carlyle, or other name on the case. All of the kits I've seen are made in China. Try a different brand to see if it's a vast improvement over what you have. I think i would upgrade just the most used pieces or what's worn out first though.

Hello,
I have purchased several Bosch CCSCL large cases on amazon for $5.99 They look just like that but are just empty cases. If you scroll down to frequently purchased together you will find that they also sell accessories that snap into the case to customize it to fit your needs.

Lots of bit sets out there that will meet your needs...

I like the Bosch kits the best. I think the bits are good quality, and the cases are great quality.

This Bosch bit set is the most universal and pretty much the same as the one in your original post.

I thought this was the perfect set (thanks for pointing it out) until I realized that it is missing flat head screwdriver bits and you can't buy the clip separately to add using the custom case. Bummer.

That is one weird thing about the Bosch sets, the only one that comes with a flathead tip is this set, which is overpriced.

I bought this set of Irwin flat bits to put in my Bosch bit sets. The Bosch cases have 4 extra bit holding spots that are kind of hidden. They're on the top and bottom of the "right" side of the case, right above and below the red latch. So you can put 4 extra bits in the cases on top of the bits that come with them.

When you price it out, buying the Bosch bit cassettes individually is pretty expensive. Its cheaper just to buy the entire loaded case for $20, and then swap out the bits as you desire. I have like 12 cases and have rearranged all of them with different branded bits, and 3d printed some custom holders. Really versatile and rugged cases.
