Like others, we are putting Christmas away. The outside decorations are just in a pile waiting to dry before packing them away. The inside stuff is boxed and on the shelves.

Greased the wheel sleeves on my engine stand so it stops squeaking whenever I move it.

I'm in process of taking all the Christmas lights down, THEN I'll be in the garage tying them up and labeling them for storage. New house, have to remember what I put where for next year!

Pulled the Tree boxes out of the shed, and packed the trees, then put them back in the shed loft (Block and tackle makes this easy)- Also put the packed ornament boxes into the Garage. the House lights were hung yesterday -

Took down Christmas decorations. Put them in the garage attic. Touched up some outside concrete wall paint. Put paint inside the house. Florida heat they say not to leave it in the garage.

I started making this stainless cover a while back. Got it bent up, welded the corners, and polished, then got busy on other things in life so it has been sitting on my bench.
Yesterday I finally engine turned it, and today I installed it.
Probably nobody but me will ever notice it, but that’s ok.

Pulled all my 5 gallon storage buckets of salt out to replenish my reused coffee creamer containers I put road salt in. They are a lot easier to handle when salting the driveway and sidewalks.
I took the vehicle snow brushes and wrapped the brushes in new micro fiber car towels to reduce the chance the bristles will scratch the ceramic coating on those vehicle that are driven during the winter.
I used aluminum small gauge wire to stitch the material around the brush to keep it securely in place...works great!
Cleaned up the bench and got a little teary eyed when I parked on thick plush carpet, overinflated the tires, hooked up the battery maintainer, and put the cover on my garage queen, show car convertible for this winter season.

Changed the oil & filter in my daily and rotated the tires. Cleaned up and organized a bit as well.

Finished up my wife's Christmas present. She asked for a larger sturdier L shaped table than the piece of **** purchased one we got a few years back.
So I ordered up a corner desk powered leg kit and two big pieces of Butcherblock counter top. A little work with the track saw and Domino jointer and we had a sturdy (and heavy as all get out table). My nephew came by today and we setup the table in her craft room.
I really think the adjustable leg heights and large work surface will help her enjoy all her crafts more readily.
The butcher block matches the built in cabinets that I've been working on seemingly forever. This was a quick side project, despite the Minwax Polycrylic finish being a pain in the *** to get level. I won't be using that product again unless I'm in a position to spray it.
This is a project where the track saw excels. The butcher block tops were too heavy to maneuver thru a table saw at the various angles. Even with a well setup Cabinet saw, this would have been damn near impossible.

BS'ed with the neighbor about life. He mentioned he may have an electric motor for my air compressor at his mom's house. I gave him the pulley to verify the shaft size. Crossing my fingers it'll work.

Okay this is a dangerous post if my bride sees it. We have converted one bedroom into her craft room with upgraded lighting and wall cabinets. That "L" shaped heavy table is exactly what she is looking for.
As for the garage I too have just completed the annual ritual of taking down the 42 Christmas houses, accessories and landscaped setups. These all have dedicated shelves in the garage attic along with the rest of the decorations.But now I have all my work bench areas to myself.

Yesterday I turned a 6/4 x 10 x 72" plank of white oak into 2 C-Fold towel boxes.
Pic #1 is the slab on the table saw.
Pic #2 is after cutting to length, ripping into strips and resawing, but before planing.
Pic #3 is the finished boxes.
I only used 1/2 the length of the original plank and I have scraps for the firepit or other projects.
I got to use every tool in my arsenal - tablesaw, planer, both bandsaws and the chip collector.
Today's job is to clean up the garage so Mrs and Daughter No_Garage can park their cars inside tonight.

Yesterday I dismantled all of the outdoor Christmas decorations. I made some quick holders for my loose Christmas lights out of cardboard, wrapped them up, took both Christmas trees to the drop off location, and moved the inflatables into the garage. I wanted everything to be put away, but things need to dry before they can be permanently stowed. Looks like Olaf and Santa will be watching me in the garage. Hope to get out soon for some shop work!
A little disappointed the most Christmas pine smell I got from our trees was when I took them down. Maybe that's because my beard was loaded with pine needles by the time I was done. Bye bye Christmas twee's, see you next time. Happy New Year!

pulled the 2 hydro rams on my 9ft plow and bench bleed them for air . they didnt want to do it them selfs on the truck after 12hr's plowing a week or so ago . the blade was drifting around by its self and bypassed to easy . went out and tried it on frozen chunky snow and now she is rock solid .

Put together my new tool cart I bought to make more room (yes that’s counterintuitive but it makes perfect sense). Then moved some stuff around to fit the three boxes against the back wall again. Now my engine sits flat against the back wall. So I ended up with a little more room.

Built 2 custom sized doors for the man cave above my shop. Lots of trips up and down the stairs!

Lucky! We don't even have enough snow for the kids to go sledding!!
Wife asked me to vacuum. Went the extra mile and did the ceiling fans too #shewillbethankingmelater
We have a Dyson DC17 Animal, and V6, and both got the royal treatment of cleaning all the hair out of the bristles, and blew out all the dust I could from everywhere the nozzle could reach. Then discovered that the carpet roller bristles on the V6 are worn out (2 years old) and I need to start hunting for a replacement.

Those look good. At least you didn't hang them from the wrong side.
Pulled the nails out of some plastic caps and replaced them with drywall screws for hanging the foil faced polyiso. Then went back out later and assembled the two halves and put the cylinder on my 044 chainsaw.

Not in my garage, but I loaded up a bunch of my detail supplies and went to my buddies garage. He picked up a used Mercedes that was in real good shape, but the paint was pretty beat up. Whoever had it took care of it and it doesn't have a single door ding for being a 7 year old car, but either didn't know how to wash a car correctly or took it somewhere that didn't...
I spent about 5 hours on it getting it washed, deironized, clayed and doing paint correction. It turned out really nice.

Progress on the T-saw, but I got semi sidetracked on the dust collection, as I don't want to have to cut a huge hole in the stand for that. Besides it woudl bury the motor... I think I have something sorted out, but its still in progress.
I did drill the base mounting holes and started to layout the holes for the belt, cleaned and lubed the table lift mechanism, and took surface rust off the table.

Put my engine on the stand just to realize that I’m gonna take it off tomorrow to go back to the machine shop to get the freeze plugs installed that I paid for.
