I have a Kobalt tool chest with top chest (https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-42-in-13-Drawer-Tool-Chest-and-Cabinet-Set/1002604766) that I already for wrenches, sockets, speciality tools (not really organized which is one reason why I'm thinking of another tool chest), hammer, etc and a US General tool chest/cart for air tools and sockets.

I am debating about buying another tool chest for more tools but wondering if it would be a waste of money? I was looking at one that has an open workspace on top and then another one that is smaller that has a smaller workspace. Which one or is it a waste of money with what I already have?

Here they are

Impossible to answer with the given information. Do you need a workspace? What are your storage needs more specifically? Do you want to replace what you have or just add to it? If your boxes are not organized can you organize them and make a better use of space?

The Yukon box is cheap, not as good as the us general boxes in general. But it is bigger and will give a bigger work top if that is a concern.

I was thinking about that working top to have like little racks in it for misc. items that I may need.

I just figured since I'm building up my tools that I will get more speciality tools since I work of automotive and farm equipment of mine.

Like at the base of my kobalt chest is where I have misc. tools like angle finder, etc.

I wouldn’t buy another box till the first one is full. I have a craftsman 26in box with top middle and bottom sections. Also have a wide file cabinet i got free that i put big tools in. I myself collect free and extra cheap stuff i can use for garage storage. A buddy of mine had some work done on his house and I snatched up a couple upper cabinets. The neighbor had a nice industrial cabinet he put out for free so i snached that up. Work was getting rid of some stuff and I ended up with a couple stanly vidmar shelves. I got a couple small file cabinets from yard sales for $5 and under. You can go to the habitat for humanity store and get stuff to.
