If you are going to go with a metal cart, look up overhead projector carts. They usually have several shelves, dependable casters, and the new ones are only ~$100. I even got on with an integrated power strip.

Just picked this up last week from HF. It’s nice to be able to roll almost everything out to the car or truck instead of going back and forth from the garage. Only thing I changed was adding two more swivel casters. It’s a little harder to push in a straight line but completely manageable even with it loaded. But it makes it infinitely more maneuverable despite its size.

I keep thinking the HF 26” roller cabinet would work well for me as an small extra cart in the garage. Usually under $300 with their coupons. Maybe even their side cabinet with wheels added would work.
Wonder if you can swap the deep drawers to be at the top?

I thought all the HF %off coupons excluded all tool rollers and chests?

And many other things in the extremely fine print.

I've purchased two from Home Depot and am happy with both. They are both well built and have decent casters. The four drawer is nice for tools, but the open till at the top turns into a **** magnet. The 3 drawer, 36" one has a wooden work surface that is handy for keeping tools or parts for the job at hand in a handy location.

Home Depot has a beefy looking Milwaukee tool cart.

I out grew my little plastic HD service cart, so I bought a Harbor Freight one a couple months back, haven't used it much yet, it's mostly for when I have a project out in my RV Carport.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I will go with the US General. It seems to check a lot of boxes and its a good price. Again, thank you.

I use an old hospital bed dining table, found them for sale at a St. Vincent De Paul store for $10. They have good casters & adjust up and down, and clear most auto fenders. I leave an assortment of frequently used tools on it all the time, and roll it to any project. It saves repeated trips to the main toolbox, and is so much easier to move than the big boxes.:willy_nil
