I think I started the year off right! I’m hoping this is a sign that this will be how this year goes for me.
I literally searched marketplace and Craigslist for hours yesterday morning, because I had a free day. I was even willing to drive up to 3 hours. Needless to say I couldn’t find a deal I was interested in. So I gave up and went to watch the Alabama game with my father in law. Once I got there I decided to look one more time, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I opened marketplace and saw this Wilton 930 posted and only 5 minutes before. I didn’t know it was a 930,I only new it was a Wilton and it was about 5 minutes from where I was. I couldn’t believe my luck when the seller responded, and then gave me an address. My heart was racing the whole way there!
Sorry, kinda rambled on a bit,
I now present my $20 Wilton 930. Slide is stamped 6-47

The chisel is an "Our Very Best". They were part of a hardware store line from my recollection. They also made hammers and squares.Well, the weekend is off to a slow start, not surprising as much of the country is still in the depths of winter. And I have to say, that is a mighty fine jack, while Thorsen is one of my favorites to collect.
On the home front, I picked up the following at two out of three sales:

A trio of Snap-on overstrike sockets, K-D brake tools, P&C 100 and Proto professional ratchets, Proto sockets - including a very rare Proto LA 17/32", and a very interesting chisel with a logo I do not recognize:

Remember, we are currently one day closer to summer!
Have any close up of the stampings on the Plomb wrench? Looks to be a pre 30s double open end. It also may be an earlier "garage series wrench".bunch of chrome alloy sockets, and an odd plomb wrench
- Unidentified 1/4” ratchet (again, any ideas?)
No idea, but I’ve got one just like it.
As 3bay will recall, we had a pretty good thread several years ago on these. If you search on "Franksenstein" it might come up, AK. Very common. Not to diminish your find. If anything, the opposite. If everyone doesn't have (or at least see) at least one of these, they are doing something wrong! HAHA. That's how common they are. Pretty cool little ratchets, too.AK, the ratchet is likely a GM Co. brand
You are correct. Spencer, Hibberd, Bartlett & Company. Like an early Simmons Hardware ("Keen Kutter") or Belknap Hardware ("Bluegrass"). And, like those, their brand name is very popular among antique houseware collectors. But they did also sell tools. The chisel is an "Our Very Best". They were part of a hardware store line from my recollection.

around ere...
Yeah just a figure of speech, Outlaw. I don't actually know how wide their footprint was.I must be doting something wrong, or maybe the sales were centered on the Eastern seaboard, and I'm 3000 miles away from where they are common?.

That extension cord pigtail looks like something used in a data cabinet to power up tightly stacked devices (hubs, routers, etc.). It's short in length because it would be plugged into a single nearby power strip that runs the entire height of the cabinet.Today’s finds on my 4th pick of the new year:
Metal Makita Case with steel latches $4
Extension Cord Pigtail with 4 outlets $3
Klein D252-6 diagonal cutting pliers $1
$8 on the day
The Makita case is in excellent shape. Not sure what to use it for yet, but couldn’t pass it up.

Brian, I think I like everything you snagged there! Good day!
Our Fearless Leader ***** on that one!

That bevel square is not a normal one. Nice pick up.
Watching to see who or what you find out.
I have several posts to make of finds but some I haven't even sorted out yet LOL. But this one today high on my list of favorites. Recently I have been collecting vintage Sears garden tractors from the 1960's and 1970's. These will be work tractors with occasionally being used for "play" LOL. I recently got a rear blade and wanted a set of of Ag tires for better traction while using it. I had picked up an extra set of rear wheels to put some new tires in the future since you can never find good small ag tires. Or so I thought. While checking out Facebook Marketplace I saw a set of tires and wheels that were only advertised as "tires" with a brief description that said "size in pictures". When questioned he thought they were for a Honda ATV but I thought I might have found gold. After a 60 mile trip one way I checked them out and they were a set of nearly new Carlisle 23-10.5-12 tires mounted on Sears wheels. For those of you not familiar with these tires a new pair would run around $240 right now and still have to be put on the rims. I paid 25 DOLLARS for the pair ready to bolt on! I also picked up some cast iron pans I will post later. And on the way home I saw old garden tractors by the road and stopped and bought a Sears SS12 tractor for $50, I will pick it up tomorrow.
Awesome find! I'd guess, based on the pic, it was 20X30 or close...
First pick of the new year for me. Went with a friend to a former implement dealers place that is being scrapped on Monday. I was interested in the report of some gas pumps. I bought 3 gilbarco gas pumps and a 1956 pickup box trailer for short money. I then stumbled upon the actual gas station the pumps came from or at least all the take-off porcelain.
A couple hundred later I own an early 50's gulf station. It took two trips to get it all and I still need to go back next weekend and get the pickup box trailer. I also got the boss some rotary hoe blades for yard art.
The first picture is as found and the next is after I unloaded at home after the 1st trip. I have 100 linear foot of the blue stripe so guess the station was 25 x 25. I have no idea what I am going to do with it but I couldn't bear to see it scrapped.

I originally went because of the giant motor you see below. It is a 20hp, 3ph motor, which is destined to become a new RPC (rotary phase converter). This size will allow me to run anything I want, and it was great timing for Pt. 2 (which I am picking up today).
