Evening guys,

After some help, currently trying to source some spare parts for my all weather snap on box KMC18062, but struggling to find the part number for the latches (Circled green), even Snap On uk customer services don't know :headscrat

I've included the spares part list, but it doesn't seem to include them, anyone sourced them before ?

Thank you in advance.

Hard to see the detail of the latches you’re looking for but do they look like these ....

The Snap-on latches don't look like the Pelican ones. They don't look like they'll work.

I've spoken to Snap On Industrial Sales and they tell me the latches are not serviced. My box arrived with a broken one. It's unnerving that an $800 tool box has four plastic latches that can't be repaired if they break.

Anyone else have any luck? Maybe 3D printing a new latch for my new tool box?

Would it be possible to rig/retrofit a metal latch of some kind instead?

The center button slides and has a locking latch on the back that breaks off.

Every plastic box I've ever used since they were a thing has broken the latches early on. That's why I'd never pay money for one.

Even partly plastic is a problem.

I've got one of those Snap-on FOD boxes (KRP825?) and you can see how absurdly spindly the latches are. I'll bet that a lot of the used ones for sale have broken latches.

Could perhaps fabricate a new part of aluminum or nylon, but it would be a bit of work. To have to do this on a brand new Snap-on box is absurd.
It is absurd and unacceptable. But even if they replace it, sounds like a recurring problem. If I couldn't find a robust solution to replace the latch, don't think I'd want to keep it myself. Good luck.

Not in the same class or size of box, but I like my Stanley Fatmax 28" tool box. It's structural foam with weatherstrip seal and steel latches. Pretty tough box. I have a similar black and decker box but doesn't have the rubber seal.
