Speaking of Icon ratchet wrenches and who makes them, does anybody know where you can get a single long 10 mm reversible wrench like the Icon? Lost my 10 and havent been able to find it, and doubting I can just buy a 10 fron HF.

Yeah the long pattern sets are really nice tool and very sensible cost, I put a lot of hours on them for close to a year now and no issues or complaints .
they better or no worse than williams, bluepoint, matco, GW, tekton, capri etc .
Stubby set worth having for sensible money,I would source boxed 'new' via eBay .

If you want real nice stubbies then Facom/USAG hard beat for real world use .
I got the Facom but bought icon sets via eBay for monthly tool gift partly as he needed some and partly as wanted try them out, they okay but facom got the edge in real tight scenarios, would not pay HF full price for both set of 220 bucks, I got both sae metric same seller eBay so combined shipping for 120bucks which sensible money, could be an issue down the road with warranty if they tighten up but stubby don't see abuse like long pattern and out the box or first few month failures likely get exchanged with current friendly warranty .
Main thing take note of is icon products may change manufacturer so replacements may become **** you don't want and warranty terms may tighten up making it ballache & huge time/effort scenario.
Only worth picking the icon tool gems as most of the line not that special .

I’ve got some friends who work at Harbor Freight and they hook me up with some good coupons and discounts. I’ve gotten a few odds and ends icon tools there for the right price. Latest purchase (several months ago now) was the SAE and Metric S pattern wrenches. I figure no more than I’ll use them I can afford to gamble a little bit with them.

ratcheting stubby and long pattern combo reversible are high-five .
I really like the long pattern and use them in a daily auto shop setting .

I got a set of husky pro and Stanley ratcheting stubby wrenches for $25 shipped plus $20 shipped (paid more to get the missing 16 and 18). It’s now a 9 piece set for $45, I guess not too bad. I suspect they’re made by Hi-Five.

The Husky Pro set is sadly no longer on Amazon, not sure why there were any available since they were made like 10 or 15 years ago.

Heck, you might as well grab 2 or 3 of the 10mm wrench - as we all know how 10mm tools seem to "walk" away.

Didn't realize done singles online ...
shame they don't offer a 8mm or go up to say 24mm or more ....
pretty nice wrenches but singles coverage is piss poor .
Not a very professional effort from HF, they seem miss the obvious range needs .

They need to step up their market research efforts. Lots of people need singles to round out sets or replace lost or stolen tools. Sets are nice, especially since they are no skip sizing on these, but lots of us tool guys need 1-2 pieces to complete stuff. It’s a pain.

^ yes agree
having no 8mm in the set is pretty piss poor though .
Ratchet wrenches are great but needs 8 to 24mm coverage minimum and ideally up to 32mm if classing it more pro target range .
HF had same issue with pitts pro range not doing good size coverage and no singles.
obviously harder stock, tighter margins and they just not interested enough do a proper effort on a tool range
