I recently got a Vessel screwdriver delivered to my house. It has a metal cap and is sold as an impact driver. I have a collection of screwdrivers in my drawer and feel stupid for not getting one sooner. I was doing work on my motorcycle carburetors last week and was impressed how well the #2 worked just with my hand power, a few times I used the impact feature successfully. I had some issues with some #3 phillips heads and was using one of my stand by Snap On screwdrivers, I resorted to using a hammer on the handle of this one and got no-where. I ended up using a very fresh Snap On 3 that was almost new, I used a hammer on the end and got satisfaction. So, I guess the scenerio goes, your always gona learn something new and leave room for new arrivals in your drawers.
I learned about them from a youtuber believe it or not. The cheesy tool kits that come with the older Japanese motorcycles (today I think they give you zero) used to have a cheesy plastic handle that would accept the JIS phillips bit in the kit. I would use every once in a while but never was keen on them as I had a boat load of American made screwdrivers. Funny how you can always learn something. I do have a mountain of spark plug sockets from those kits amassed over the years that I am fond of.
