When our youngest graduated high school, there was no reason to remain where we were and pay astronomical school taxes. So the search began for a new home. My one requirement was a large garage or space to build one.
When my wife found a foreclosure that included 2 large garages the previous owner had used for an automotive sales and service business, I knew where we were moving.
We have been in the home for several months now and have completed some renovations to the house. While those renovations continue, I have started work on one of the garages that I will call my "Shop".
I have a couple old Porsches I play with and would like to build some fun project cars.
Here is the intro video
Last week, I had a polyurea coating put down. Not doing the full space was an unfortunate value-engineering necessity.
First, empty the space.
The process to apply the coating started with grinding the floor, about 1/16 of an inch.
This is what was ground off.
Then fill the cracks and divots.
Then base coat, followed by chips
Then two colored top coats (Sherwin Williams Monorail Silver)
