Hey guys
I have to create about 40 wiring harnesses and its a total of about 1600 terminals total.

What is the best and most efficient way to do this?

Hopefully you can tell by the photo what they are.

These are what I have now and wondering if there is a better way or if these will even work

I would call them and hopefully get the crimper, the crimper part number, or the connector type to go source the right crimper for doing that many.

The white connectors look like molex mini-fit or mini-fit jr family connectors. I wouldn't use a ratcheting crimper unless it was the specific tool for the terminals, it will just distort or be cumbersome to use if you have to release crimper manually everytime. Your crimper looks too large and the wrong form at a glance. You could use a generic micro terminal crimper like this one : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08LYC1N29/?tag=atomicindus08-20 but IDK how many positions in the connectors you need to populate but to do 40 harnesses with a generic crimper could be tedious

Edit: I just read you got 1600 crimps to make lol yeah I would ask them to get the right ratcheting crimper to do that many

I recognize the connectors. I actually have a Tyco crimping machine with applicators that I use to make custom interface modules for emergency vehicles. The .062 pins are excruciating hard to crimp properly by hand and takes a lot of time. PM me with your requirements, I’d be happy to quote you.

Just be aware that there's a mix of manufacturers.

Per the product page-

Connector Kit for Whelen CanTrol, (1) Three Position Amp Connector, (1) Four Position Molex Connector, (1) Eight Position Amp Connector, (1) Twenty Position Amp Connector, (2) Sixteen Position Amp Connectors and (1) Twelve Position Mate-N-Lok Connector, Includes Terminals

Considering the volume you're trying to do, I'd look into contacting Whelen to get information on the connectors and contacts and buying them from DigiKey/Mouser/Newark in bulk.

I would farm it out to someone with a Tyco Crimping machine like Aquamoose suggested unless you like a lot of pain and agony.

Pretty sure all the manufacturers are related or at least have agreements that make them compatible with each other.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I am working with AquaMoose to get this squared away since I realize now that this may be a much bigger job then I had originally thought
