Looking for recommendations on a wall mounted shop vac

I'd like to replace my old shop vac with a wall mounted model.

I'm looking for something with at least a 30ft hose. 50ft would be ideal.

I've looked at a few models online, and the reviews seem to indicate that they are only good for cleaning cars and light cleanup work.

I'm looking for something I can use just like my old shop vac. I don't need the wet/dry option, but I do want good suction and the ability to **** up larger stuff like leaves, sawdust, and wood chips. I'm OK spending ~$300, or more if needed.

Anyone have any recommendations?

More than the 300 you want to spend...but this thing *****! The hose reel has enough to reach the entire shop and out to driveway aprons as well. Something to think about...

I have the Vacumaid garage pro with 50' hose. Use it for cars and general shop cleanup and am very happy with it.

Interesting. Would this be strong enough to **** up small steel chips off of a mill and lathe? Should be eh?

Use an old central vac unit. They are posted online all the time. Pipe to the desired locations, vent outdoors. Voila !!

To add to this, there are always some central vacs in Amazon Warehouse or as Amazon Renewed right around the $300 mark. I don't have experience with these, but it is what I plan to do when our garage is ready. Just have to add a hose kit and some piping.

Looks good, but a bit out of my price range.

I looked at these. These looked good, but I saw a lot of negative comments about using these for sawdust. People said they clogged very easily.

I never thought about this. Will these units handle stuff like nails, sawdust, and wood chips?

Another vote for this. I did a small favor for a central vac guy on a jobsite. He showed up at my shop the next week and installed a house central vac in my garage. Free. 30' hose. Won't pick up nails, but almost everything else.

Was going to do this but ended up going with a Milwaukee M18 vacuum. It's handy and I adapted the Ridgid car cleaning kit to it. Plus, I can take it outside and use it elsewhere.
