I was looking to buy one or both of these. Has anyone used either of these?

I’ve got a couple of the Megadora’s.

They’re o.k. The tips are nice, they fit Japanese “Phillips” well, which is why I got them. I don’t, generally, like handles with soft components. The Megadora are not as bad as some, but they’re still harder to clean up than they could be. I wouldn’t pay a premium for them either, and that price doesn’t look that great?

The ball grip drivers seem to suit certain applications. I don’t have the Vessel, though I do have the similar shaped PB Swiss and it’s a good design as you can spin the drivers easily. Again, PB are hard handles, I don’t know what the Vessel are like.

My favourite Vessel are the “power grip” series shown below. These are really nice. Intelligently designed, well made, and very durable.

Thanks for the input. I was leaning towards the palm grip

That price doesn’t look so bad, so maybe give them a try?

Did I see that set includes Phillips No.1 and No.3 only though? That’s less than ideal isn’t it, or is that a typo?

As it ever was, is, and always shall be, the correct GJ answer to "which tool" is, of course, "both".

"All the above" usually applies if there are more than two choices.

You are correct... didn't even see that.

Those prices are good for a USA seller. The retail price isn't exaggerated --it's typically what they sell for in the USA. Vessel isn't cheap in the USA.

I have both. The Megadora 900 is my favorite of the two but both have their benefits. The Megadora has a more traditional shape. It has "jaws fit" serrations that help grip stubborn fasteners and prevent cam out. It also has knurling on the shaft. The ball grip is fugly but it has more surface area for applying downward force. I use it more as a specialty tool. The Megadora is what I would use most often.

Both are multi component handles. For automotive use, a single component hard handle is easier to keep clean. For cleaner work, it's not as big of a deal.
