How do you think I feel? I'm the resident crabapple on this thread and I can't even figure out what to holler at him about anymore. :dunno:

I think this thread could be described as "pin the tail on the donkey".

I like the other analogy too, might need to put some papers up and start adding strings.........

I gave up after the first plotter roll of paper was around the walls. It looked like those scenes in the crime dramas with all the strings around pins! :D

I've always thought it was "Watch Strouty rearrange his junk....":bounce:

Ain't noboddy wanna see that.

Looks like I won’t be getting the gray Burb, since we couldn’t stop on the way home, guy won’t take a deposit so he says other people are interested. I don’t blame him, but I wish he would take a deposit, heck, I would pay for it now. Oh well, not like I needed it, right? :(

It used to be "gotta have one for every day of the week".
Never seen anyone go for a fortnight before.

I have good news, looks like the Jersey Burb is still in play. :)

Should be picking it up next weekend, I think my Cousin will be going with me.

So my list of burbs is:

OGMC
Maroon burb
White burb bad 454
White burb
The new white burb
Snow plow
North Dakota burb
4.10 black burb
Virginia burb
Yukon

So I guess ten.

Technically there is another half burb too, I still have the rolling chassis from a previous burb.

Then there was the Alaska white Burb, the new white diesel, and now the Jersey Burb.

So 12 currently and Jersey makes 13

The white one is, the Jersey one is a 350.

5G is rolling out slow due to our population density and terrain. There are pockets around certain areas, but it is tough to build a system out for almost no people over a huge area. Places with large cities are the first targets, then airports, and hot spots like sports venues or tourist locations.

........When will 5g show up in Maine anyway?

Yeah, don't hold your breath on that. 5G is more throughput, which means higher frequency, which means shorter distances for the same amount of power. Higher frequency and higher power is cooking your brain like popcorn.

Shoot, we still have areas locally that you can't get 3G, and I live about 1/2 hour from a city that has almost as much population as the top 3 cities in Maine, combined.

Everything is based on population density, there are fees that we pay on our telephone bills that are designed specifically for rural infrastructure and it does happen, but slowly.

Yesterday I sneezed and one of my ribs got pulled funny, couldn’t take a deep breath or reach more than a little bit with my left arm. Slept ok, actually got it to where it wasn’t out of place (heard a release pop), was feeling better. Sneezed again and now I am right back to where I started. Usually these happen on the back side rather than the chest side, not sure if one is less painful than the other. :(

Office work tomorrow, setting everything up for next Saturday to get the Jersey Burb.

I got a nice 99 suburban a few months ago and since this is the official gmt400 suburban thread I guess I'll ask you guys here. Mine is a 1/2 ton, 4 wheel drive with the 350 and barn doors. Perfectly fine with the 350 for what I want to do.
Anyway, the AC works, but the rear is much colder than the front. Like the rear passengers need a blanket when the front needs to take their shirt off. I am not sure how separated the system is as there is only the one compressor, so it makes me think the freon is at a sufficient amount. You guys have any ideas on why the temp is so different front to back?
Also the headlights are extremely dim, I think the parking lights are brighter. I have checked the voltage, the alternator is putting out 13+ with AC and lights etc on. The lenses are foggy, but I wouldn't think it would affect the light brightness that much. Could the bulbs be weak? I have not replaced anything yet. Haven't ran across this before.

All of mine have had the rear AC colder than the front. Since you can adjust them separately it isn't that big of a deal.

And they have notoriously dim headlights. IF they are fogged they are like holding a candle in front of the truck, on hi beam it is like someone lit the candle.

The suburbans have one compressor, but they have two separate condensers, pretty sure the rear is larger than the other. The blend door (think hot or cold air valve) could be an issue, or the front condenser could be dirty or plugged at one of the many orifices. Hope you don’t need a new one, dash has to come out to replace it.

As for the headlights, usually they are yellowed by this vintage. They make cheap replacements, but you get what you pay for. There is a mid grade that is “insurance quality”, this are much better. TYC is a halfway decent brand.

Thanks guys, I have not had a chance to do much to it yet. I think the blend door is moving, may not be moving right though, will check that. Thanks for the suggestion on the lights.

I've found that massaging the spaces between the ribs on your side helps. If you've got a cooperative SO, then maybe they can do it.

No massage for me! I am doing much better now, still sore to touch and sneeze, but range of motion is normal. I figure it will be all better in a couple days.

I stopped by the Salvage Garage, the maid hasn’t done any cleaning, it is just a mess. Time to get a new housekeeper! ;)

Snow is giving way to mud outside, I do need to deal with the forklifts, probably start working on things again in April, so much going on right now that I just don’t think I will have much time this spring to deal with the SG the way I want to. :(
