I went and visited Kim @K&T yesterday, the chrome banshee needs a top end and crank seals

I have never split the case on one, ever needed to. Until now.

How is Kim doing? I saw him and Terri at Culvers in West Point about a year or so ago and talked to him for a bit but hadn't seen him much since we got out of duning back in 2012.

We would usually dune together Labor Day weekend at St. Anthony's for a week. Also when our quads were being photographed at Little Sahara dunes for Sand Sports Magazine back in 2010 he was there with his newly finished long travel turbo'd LS sand rail also being photographed for the magazine.

I got to know Kim quite well during my time in the Stags car club and drag racing back in the late 80's through mid-90's. We remained friends even after I left the club around 1993. Then started duning and sledding with him until we hung it all up and we lost touch of one another.

I should probably stop by and see him one day on the way home.

I was a young kid back then, just a running around causing a muck

Kim built me out a blaster that would put a good hurt on the folks down at sand Mt. Being a little kid on a medium bike helped

I think Kim is doing well. Just busy with lots of folks in and out sort of thing.

Nice new shop over there, I still need to stop over at your place and say hello

You're welcome any time.

I remember his old place up above 2nd street in Ogden, if memory serves it was on Cook St. He had added on a couple of times and did a lot of stuff in very little space before he moved and built his new home and shop in Roy.

It's been a while and hadn't thought much about it until now but it must be about 9 years since I stopped by his place last. He had just installed his dyno and had gotten a new CNC mill back around then. His large shop was filling up rather quickly. Seemed like Rayce and Randy were just starting to work more full-time there as well about that time.

Got it all finished up inside the trailer, pulled it out tonight so I can clean off the tac welds, prep for powder coat. Think dark grey or black in color then re install

Another project update, got the partial direction of the vise jaw cut.

3ffa723dba008c325e8165f610e32ead.jpg
A few hiccups in it, the mill wouldn’t fold over to a 45 degree angle. So I flipped the part and re milled the other direction

Don’t mind the glitch in my hand rolling of the y axis. But I’ll cut this in half. Mill the other direction in and then take a fly cutter across the top to flatten out the points I think. Not pro by any means but..... if you seen them I’ll I was using lol

I’ll get the trailer washed up today and post a photo of the bed all installed if I can muster up the energy to pull the mattress out of the basement

Ok fellas

Successful bed, it rode about 400 miles yesterday with zero hiccups.

Today I cut plywood to fit the frame and now to put the mattress on.

I have about 32” before the mattress goes on in the middle position. With 4’ on the bottom, enough for bikes to be loaded and the bed down to sleep on, no sitting up in bed for sure. But doable 925cd02cccb8fe14eda62644455a9abf.jpg
32e37506f2c5686e76e64ea64be0f6f4.jpg

When the bed is at the lowest position it gives me room for moto bags to tuck out of the way

Add a mattress and you’re bumping your head in the middle of the night..lol

I just put the mattress up and it’s roll onto the bed close, most sleeping instances will occur without bikes in the trailer. My thought was it would work in a pinch. I laid on it and it’s not bad. No getting busy for sure

Another project complete. Turing the tank into a urn for a lost bike builder.

He built and painted the tank, bike has been dismantled but the tank was saved.

Crazy before and after!

Fitting resting place for a bike builder.

Why do I **** now?
On this site that's a compliment. It is normally used when some one gets something at a good price or for free.

That riding spot is ridiculous, right out of a movie scene. I’ve had that new engine start anxiety before, it goes away the first time you bounce it off the rev limiter LOL

I picked up another chainsaw today

stihl034 Av

runs well for a completely clogged air filter and in need of a new spark plug, they are on order.

started with little effort

I also had my father in law give me a 044 this past week to tinker with. Need to source a pull cord set up for it, eBay I think is my best bet
