I bought this Craftsman hydraulic pop-rivet gun at a secondhand store. It was not working. The hydraulic oil was low. After topping up the oil, I was able to use the "gun" for several years. It worked really well, until, the tip shattered.
This rivet gun feels like a high quality tool. I have not been able to find a replacement tip. I hope someone on this forum might have some information for me.
Thank for looking.

Sounds like that member has some good info for you. After what happened to me below, I purchased an Arrow pneumatic Riveter. I am happy with it, it works well.

I had a couple of Craftsman manual pop rivet guns. Both broke one after less than a dozen times of use. It was my backup gun and when the first one broke I went to that and the Jaws shattered after probably a dozen rivets. I was very disappointed. I tried to get them warrantied by Sears, but since they did not have a current listing for a Craftsman pop rivet tool I could not get a replacement. They did give me store credit which I used to get some large 20 mm plus combination wrenches.

Thanks for the information.
The tip looks similar to the MASON tips. I may have to turn a tip out on my lathe.
I have two Astro Pneumatic Air Riveters. I have one for each of the size rivets I commonly use.
I ended up with two of these pneumatic/hydraulic riveters because the first one was missing the tips I need. I went back in KMS tools and tried to explain the situation, and was rejected by one of the penises. The female department supervisor was very kind and offered to take parts out of another tool for me. I thought that was a bad idea, so I bought a second gun. I did not want the store to end up with a lame not working gun. I thought I would not have to change tips and the female supervisor gave me a small discount.
I am surprised I do not have a picture. (yet)
My lessons. 1) Do not buy previously opened merchandise. 2) Open the box for a look before leaving the store. 3) Avoid talking to the ***** heads.

I have one or two of those somewhere. If you have the instruction manual they usually have a parts list, get the part number for the part you need and call Sears parts (you'd be surprised at what they have) and search online by the part number. If you don't have the manual search for it online.

Thank you so much for this. I was hoping to find a source for the shattered tip. The tip is threaded and removable. I will continue to watch.
