Help ID a Large Snap on Box

Going to need a better picture of the box without the compressor in front of it.

Top box is a KR550 (all slide drawers, later ones had roller bottom drawer) or later KR650 (small drawers slider, wide drawers rollers). Both versions are about the heaviest top boxes ever built for their size, 36" wide x 22" deep
Bottom box is probably a KR555 (Slide?) or KR655 (Roller?). Also built like a tank.
Probably 1980's vintage.
I really mean they are heavy. I would probably bring a Snap-on drawer removal tool and pull all the drawers for easier loading.

Tool Scrounge is absolutely correct.
When moving that, though, the bottom box is the easy one. Takes two people to carry that top box. Move in a pickup like this...take top box off, then put all the way in the bed. For the bottom box, have the back facing the tailgate about a foot in front of it. Lift it up by the bottom, then slide in the bed.
When you unload, move the bottom out first on its back, tilt up on the edge of the lift gate. You're tilting it to get it standing up. One reasonably strong person can do this. Tilt slowly then get it vertical ASAP. Then it's ready to set the top on.
Thanks for the input guys. I drove 2 hours one way to pick up the box- the seller completely botched the description of the box and the "quality tools" that came with it. The box was in fair/poor condition and while there were a half dozen craftsman tools in it it was mostly old nuts/bolts/garbage. I offered him $500 and we both walked away without a deal.
But yes it was a KR550 and KR555 with non-bearing slides. Thanks again.

Yup can always walk away. I hate those ads for boxes full of "good tools" with like one crappy photo and more often than not some fairly hefty price. My spidey senses usually tell me to beware. Even some of the guys that post plenty of photos of the tools often the tools looked picked over and what is left are lower quality stuff and specialty tools that most guys are never going to need. Very rarely do I see a good deal on combination box and tools and if I do it is gone quickly. Good luck on your continued search.

No, you were right to walk away. A lot of people are too lazy to clean out their boxes, so they'll ask a high price and say it comes with tools. Then you find out the "tools" are a bunch of garbage.
Even though it wasn't a great pic, $500 looked like a pretty fair offer.

Around here, out in the daylight cleaned up and with good photos, unless the dings compromised the operation, that pair would sell for $1000 all day, every day.

I don't doubt that in certain areas, but cleaning that out and getting it looking good is untold hours of labor. Like you said, that's assuming no major dents or impediments. And even then, it's an old friction slide box that's well used, at best. So if you bought it for $500 and put the labor in it, I doubt you'd be making out that great on a 1K sale. But if you're cleaning it up for your own use, that's different.
Right now I'm taking all the drawers out of a taco cart so I can clean the slides and lube them. Then I'm going to put some rubbing compound on it. This box is in outstanding original condition, and even so it's going to take me awhile to get it in the shape I want it in. Luckily, I can afford my labor costs.

For true, but it depends upon one's definition of looking good. For some, a trip to the DIY car wash is looking good enough.
That's why I'll never restore and paint another tool box. Getting a couple in the shape I wanted was way far too much time and grunt work. Now, I've rationalized I'm into patina.
