15/16" 6-pt box end wrench?

I picked up a Chas Parker 975 vise recently that was missing the wrench. I'd like to take an old vintage wrench cut the other end off to make my own version of the Parker No. 3 wrench. What companies made a 15/16" box end 6-pt wrench in the period from say the mid-30s to the late-50s?

Here's what an original looked like. I'm probably not likely to be able to get close to this shape but I am hoping after a little work on a grinder will yield something close enough.

Thanks!

Just thinking about it I cannot recall ever seeing a 6-pt combination wrench. It ***** when you can't trust your memory or lack thereof. Getting old is great!

Edit: Okay. Googled and found them but I still cannot recall ever seeing one in the flesh.

GAH! I think maybe I'm going blind. 15/16" in a 6-point?

this is why they should NOT have removed the option to delete posts.
sorry... I misread the OP's message and was searching for 5/16"

here is a thought, find a wrench that is close to size and file it to fit.

Lots of "engineers wenches" but they are mostly open end. Do you weld? Graft a 6pt onto another wrench handle that you like? Maybe farm wrenches?

Try looking through this website for ideas:

An adjustable wrench (Crescent) could be your donor handle ... Weld, Grind, Sand, Polish, Blue.

i was ready to do the same thing with an 11/16" for my little Atlas/Craftsman lathe but I stumbled onto the correct one for $5 on an eBay Best Offer.

I searched "lowest first" and stopped when the prices got up to $85.00.

Indestro made a 768S (short series) 5/16" combo - at least in their later catalogs - but the odds of finding one of those is slim to none:

Those are 5/16" four.cycle. I need 15/16". But I found a brand new Gearwrench 15/16" for $12.30 on 'zon. Probably going to be my cheapest route. Although I'd prefer to modify an old vintage wrench. I appreciate the effort!

Edit: Okay. Now I see you caught it. No biggie! Again, very much appreciate the effort.

Missed your comment s&a. Sadly, I'm not a welder. I'll check out the links. Thanks!

Here's a pic of the swivel lock with the wrench. You can see where a retainer clip (the right name is escaping me at the moment) goes above the wrench such that the wrench doesn't come off.

Modify a donor impact socket, either 15/16 or 24mm, add suitable handle.

Ok, this is a clever idea. I have the same problem with missing vise wrenches. Slice an impact socket and add handle. Like it....

This is the wrench I wrote to you about.

Yeah, I knew exactly what you were talking about. Does anyone have the measurements on a Parker No. 3 wrench? I'd like to know what the length is from tip to tip and also the width across the working end of the wrench from outside to outside.

Thanks!
