4 stroke bicycle

Bought a beach cruiser and 49cc 4 stroke engine kit, loads of fun on the trails .

pull start , 100 mpg. 23 mph.

I put a Briggs 4 stroke on a bicycle some years ago. A friend clocked me at 61mph on highway. Super dangerous, I removed motor.
I have a cruiser bike with one of those 2 stroke motor kits on it now. I've had it to about 30 or so.

I live close to downtown Prescott, those things are everywhere. I’m kinda blown away they’ll climb some of the hills around me and they definitely look like fun. At least it’s not an ole school moped-lol. Have fun!

Looks great. I would love to build one of those but gas powered bicycles require a motorcycle license and insurance here.

OK .............Not for insurance.........especially if you hit a pedestrian or someone’s Mercedes.

I built one years ago when I was a teenager, had a 2 stroke engine, I mounted a 3" rubber wheel on the motor shaft and it drove on the back wheel. Worked really good, just start peddling, the motor started up and away you went. Boy the looks I got going around the country block. That was 40 yrs ago. Those where great times. BCD.

We lived in Germany from 1970-75 and many of bikes had a small two stroke engine that engaged the front wheel of the bike with a rubber drive wheel. The motor was mounted on a bracket so the rubber wheel could disengage from the bike wheel. The handle bar had a lever to control engagement as well as throttle.
