Saltlamp Bulb

Anyone know why the little bulb in my saltlamp keeps blowing?
Is it something to do with salt attracting moisture?

Salt has a natural humidity of around 75%. Unless you see condensation, the problem could be elsewhere. I would just get an LED bulb for long life.

It won't work. It needs incandescent to give off heat for salt block to work.

Could be a loose or dirty connection that lowers the amperage of the bulb in a millisecond and causes the filament to oscillate, over a short time, it breaks off the lead inside the bulb.
Try cleaning the contacts in the socket and use some dielectric grease on the contacts to make sure you got a good connection inside the socket, BEFORE you use a new bulb.
Something is causing the filament to move and break....

They are.

The "healing effects" is hocus pocus, like most of those Dot-Era oils, engine rebuild in a can, etc.

There's actually a business near here that has a large room built entirely of Himalayan salt blocks. Floor, walls, ceiling, everything. It's back-lit and heated to about 75-80F.
You pay something like a dollar a minute to sit in there. It was ok. Now I know what a tortured slug feels like.

I hated loading salt for sanding roads. Would get in your mouth after a bit.

The salt lamps we have we've never had to replace the bulb. If moisture was a problem maybe aquarium supply places would have a bulb with same base, same wattage.
