Allen Syncrograph

I know this has been discussed before but it felt with the SUN brand distributor machine. They are “similar” Mark makes a great mod kit for the SUN brand
machines and could be figured out to adapt to the Allen machine as he mentioned to me. So.......has anyone done this? It’s a great project and I am still looking at the instructions Mark sent me. I will purchase Marks kit once I get confident that it is easily doable and I’m not going to blow up the parts on my machine that are impossible to find. All I really need is the Xeon bulbs that flash when the distributor fires. Mine flew out when I bumped the top bulb socket closing connection. Thanks all.

There’s a member on here, Bronco2, that makes and awesome led upgrade for the Sun machines and it will work in the Allen machine as well. I put one in my Synchrograph a few rears ago and couldn’t be happier.

Is the bulb the most likely part for it not to flash? I saw some capacitors in there too. I’m interested in ruling out the bulb with the kit. Info to buy?

Possibly. Mine was flashing but weak, had to run it in the dark. Since finding the correct strobe would've taken more effort than I wanted to put forth I went with the conversion from Bronco2. You should be able to direct message him through the forum. I will look and see if I still have his email as I would like to order another kit for a project.
