Hey Guys, im getting ready to purchase a Rotary SPO10-TA 2-Post Lift. This is their 10k lift with the 3-stage arms with truck adapters. I was wondering if anyone has this exact lift configuration and could give me a little feedback on how versatile it is from a small car to a full size pickup? I am going with Symmetrical because I will be lifting trucks and dont want the bed hanging off the back of the lift, but I want to make sure this configuration will work well for all vehicles.

I have the asymmetrical version with no issues. Much more used for cars. But also trucks. Love it. Same lift pretty much. No complaints.

SPOA-10 with trio arms and both round and truck adaptors. Lift 3/4 ton crew cab pick-ups, a couple of BMW's, an Austin Healey, a S550 Bullitt Mustang, a Polaris Ranger XP1000 and a 62 'vette without difficulty

I have the symmetrical one. Use for everything from pickups to my civic. The car pads are handy for unibody cars. I bought with both. Never had an issue yet

Isnt the "TA" version the flip up truck adapters? If so, I believe you would want the version with the stack adapters. The flip up truck adapters aren't very flexible as far as setting your arm height.

The TA version is the thread up truck adapters. It also comes with some extensions in different lengths as well. The only “flip up” adapters are the base model 2-stage arms and I believe they sell extensions for those.

How many feet did you leave between the front wall and the lift?
My shop is 30ft deep its cheated toward the front a wee bit. I'd have to measure. With any vehicle but the 2500hd I have plenty of room up front. My tool boxes are there and still have room. I also can lift my 3500hd Bucket truck, but only a ft or so before Bucket arm hits limit switch.

That's how deep by shop is roughly, if you could get me a measurement that would give me a good guideline to start with. The longest vehicle I would lift is a 2500HD long bed. So this should be pretty accurate with your setup. I appreciate the help!

I lied its cheated toward the back. I have the front of mounting pad 14.5 ft to front wall, about 13 to back wall. I was just changing oil in service truck and its still on lift. It leaves about 6 ft from bumper to front wall and about 2.5 ft to garage door so not much room behind it. No issues with room on any other vehicle I have except bucket truck which it probably shouldn't lift anyway :)

Couple pics now that Ryan fixed my issue so you can see how truck fits in bay and on lift
I like that setup with the 10k capacity and the truck adapter kit. I use two 9k SPO09 with flip up adapters daily, used to have 3 10k spo10 at the old shop. I love the flip up hoists for daily mixed use, cars, light trucks, etc. We have a communal 18k truck hoist for super duty or big transit vans at the current place.

10k gets pretty much any 1 ton truck (as long as it isnt a loaded service body) up in the air. The flip up dog hoists dont do the 2016 and older super duty's very well, very tippy and unstable. Newer 17+ trucks lift better due to better frame dimensions.

I'm more than a few years from building my home shop, but am already planning on a spo10 or spo12 depending on cost. Buy once, cry once.
