Added a quad-lock to my Hypermotard so I can use my phone as a GPS.

Backed the truck in the garage and opened up the EGO push mower I bought to hit some areas I can't get to on my zero turn and inside the small fenced area at a neighbors I mow for. I took it out and used it for a while, it works better than I expected.

Polished up the Peterbilt, repositioned a spot mirror three inches lower for better visibility, added a spot mirror on top of the mirror bracket in order to see the top of the trailer. It also serves as a poor man's pyrometer. Oh yeah, I put new hood cushions on to try and get the hood level again since the old ones wore out.

Fixed up this appliance dolly that I don't really need anymore. It was pretty rusty and the wheels had quite a bit of resistance to them as well. A few shots of garage door silicone lube and the wheels were rolling smooth again.

Disassembled everything except for the wheels.

I used a grinder and paint removal wheel to get the excess rust off. I sanded the hard to reach spots with 320-grit sandpaper.

285.jpg
After grinding the paint off, I found this hole.
286.jpg
Repaired it with the welder. There's still a couple of pits, but it's a lot better (and safer) than before.
287.jpg
Repainted everything with gloss black Krylon Rust Protector spray paint.

Getting ready for fluid changes on the black 300ZX, and also trying to track down a nasty power steering fluid leak.

There was a nice little puddle PS fluid pouring from the undershroud. It's the most expensive part, but I'm hoping it's just the high pressure hose, and not something that I'll spend forever chasing down. Everything is so difficult to access on this car.

We're moving in 3 weeks.

Emptied out the rafters in the attached garage and sorted through the KEEP - GIVE AWAY - TRASH. The shop out back has a 40' container backed up to it and I'm going through the same process, but sorting and boxing all the KEEP as it goes in. NOT FUN, but I have found tons of missing pieces as I am sorting. New house has a 5 car garage, so no separate shop, but actually has even more space than my 1000sq.ft. shop I have now.

Finished installing drawers on my first bank of drawers in the shop. Note to self, install drawer glides and boxes while on the workbench, not after installing the cabinet. That bottom drawer was a pain in the backside for sure. Tomorrow, I will cut and finish the drawer fronts and hopefully get them installed. Sure do enjoy making cabinets. It is easy to get lost in time.

Cleaned up the rear tine tiller since I have some septic work to clean up. Mostly just cleaning the tines and a lot of grinding so they aren't so dull. Still have the surge I had last year - it works but I need to look further into that.
As you may know from my other post - the wife's minivan is still in the garage - it goes to the dealer tomorrow for work (rockers - so it's running but you don't want to drive it unecessarily). So they took the Taurus out today - and called me when the wrench light came on. P0717 - Input speed sensor. I finally found it - and got one from a parts store today but apparently the wiring connection doesn't pull out with the sensor - I have to take the front cover off. So several more hours of work this week to replace that.
Let me cut to the chase - I have three vehicles and two of them are down. One goes to the dealer tomorrow but the other one is on me. The oldest, highest mileage one is the only one that we have right now.
I'm in a bit of a foul mood.

I haven't seen an intact Z32 undershroud in a LOOOONG time! Usually they're trashed from speedbumps or soaked in oil/PS fluid and falling apart. Are you planning on keeping the OEM shroud, or replacing it with an aftermarket aluminum set?

Haha, yeah and that seems to be the case with this one also! I'd like to keep the car mostly OEM except for a few upgrades, so I'll probably stick with the OEM undershroud. I may order a replacement one since they can still be found, and put it on once I ensure that all of the leaks have been resolved.

2nd garage door décor done! All the wanted license plates that I have ordered or "sourced" are on. Plates that I have had on trucks, the Jeep, and motorcycles in 5 states, historic plates, misc. plate or two, plates from our European cars, and TV/movie plates sprinkled in. Happy with this little installation. Goes nicely with the vintage-ish signs and there is room for another 16 more someday.

Awesome collection. I collect plates and signs too but I have to hang them in my room since I don’t really have a garage and the basement is cinder block.

Finished up a base for my table saw. I welded some casters on it so It would be easy to move out of the way. Installed some new Edelbrock spark plug wires for my 327 in my YJ. I had a problem with the spark plug wires falling off. Hopefully this will fix that. Already seems to running way better.

Got my hanging cabinet boxes up on french cleats in my garage shop build. Suburban tract home, 3-car attached, I'm turning the single-door bay into a full shop space. A fixed bench, everything else on wheels, including a 4'x7' rolling work table. Still getting moved into the house, but I'm finally getting my tools unpacked and workspace to use them in.
I'm using the full long side wall of the garage bay for my work tables and hanging cabinets. (3) pre-made unfinished hanging kitchen cabinets over my hobby bench at the head end of the side wall, then (6) more 2'W cabinet boxes, 2'8"H. With each cabinet organized by task. Auto chems, air tools, wood cutting / routing, spraypaints etc.
Heavier hardware is going on a low rolling set of stacking trays that will slide under my rolling bench.

My hosting space is still messed up, will try again to get that properly working to share pictures,

If I don’t have an actual garage at my house (townhouse) but I do garage stuff here and my shed is set up as a shop, can I play? I do rent a garage that I’m restoring my Chevelle in, does it count if its not “mine”?

Returned home from a few days at my local hospital. I have a greater appreciation for the staff and cuisine there. That hospital is one of the best kept secrets of the system that operates it; the employees don’t want others competing for their jobs, it is not a boutique hospital; it is run like one.
I was treated as if I was the favorite Uncle of every staff member.

Got done rebuilding the 12 bolt rear in my shed and began installing it in my Chevelle frame over the past week.

Went to the welding shop and picked up a bottle of argon and a couple lbs of stainless rod. Then I went to the shop and started pulling #4 wire for a 60 amp 220 outlet in the fab shop so I can start welding some stainless vessels. The attic is hot.
