Not exactly in my garage but in my shop which is in the basement. Today I throughly cleaned my shop, not because it needed to be cleaned (it did) but because I am rebuilding the collet closer in my Weiler Matador lathe and when I disassembled it ball bearings flew everywhere. I found some 15 feet away, one bounced into a bin, in all after 2 days I found all 22 of them and have a clean(er) shop to boot.

Found a wonky new tool battery, organized multiple drill bit collections, tossing some, adding new making mostly complete kits.

Broke a torsion garage door spring so I went ahead and removed the pair and ordered new ones this morning.

Slowly gluing the window back in my Volvo C70. Did the driver side interior yesterday. Today, the passenger side.
Bought the suction clamps. which work well. But I needed more clamps than I could fit. I used rare earth magnets with a steel plate. Put another on the other side. They hold really well. But they are so strong, Ive got to be really careful not to let one go. Had a couple of times where one magnet lifted up and flew to the other.
Finished the rest of the interior. I'm going to leave to cure over night.

Redid the electrical wiring on my 1969 Mustang. Went to get a sticker and the coil wire fell off on the way to the inspection station... Luckily an easy fix on the road.

I got a set like that from a friend that was parting out his 69 (he should have sold the car complete as it had a very, very good VIN but was minus the original 428 & 4 sp when he bought it). I put them in my 68 Scout. His 302 went in my 67 coupe.

They are hard to come by now. It's easier to repair them now than to try and afford good used ones.

My next door neighbor, a Navy man, is currently stationed in Naples Italy, and has a nice family renting his home. He recently paid a handyman to re-nail some boards on a fence we share. Today I looked at the job and found it was nicely done. i will make my report to the neighbor this evening.

i am sure that my helper and I can do the next required repairs with minimally invasive surgery. Both my neighbor and his wife are physicians.

The current bandage should hold for a couple of years.

Well as I was reading a post by Rattle snake/Justin I bought a pair of led headlights for the driver project. Arrived quickly and got them installed. Plugged in an worked perfectly, ready for a night ride and to re-aim. I was glad I had a spare pair of old buckets cause I had to hack the heck out of them to get the new deeper LEDs to fit.

Disassembled a 1965 Honda S65 to start a semi restoration. A lot of missing parts including the engine which will be replaced with a Lifan 125cc engine.

Went to recycling this morning and on the way there I heard a rumbling sound and as light shake. I made a note of it so I would look at it later .
Park at recycling and restart TPMS light is on . Now I know what the rumble was.
Put it on the lift and found a bolt/screw in the LF tire, found my plug kit and did the repair

Plugged a tire on my daughters car. Polished the plastic headlights on her Mazda 3 with Maguires mag wheel polish (as seen on you-tube). Worked as good if not better then any headlight restore kit I've ever tried.

Cleaned up the shop garage after two weeks of constant on the go. Started back on my 1946/47 Delta bandsaw restoration that is finally clean of all the old coats of paint, pulled the ball bearings and ordered replacements. Have to say the original paint and bearings were a bear to remove, but it's going to look nice when it's done. I'll post picks of the progress.

I think you will be happy. The US General are great boxes. Was yours limited on stock and colors? When I picked up a 44 inch just over a week ago they were out of every color except orange and yellow. And they were out in most sizes not just mine.

I wrestled with the table saw and my replacement bathroom window. Something about sawing angles that really throws me for a tilt a whirl. I got it the second time around with dads help. My first go had too shallow of an angle on the sill. Happy Dad stopped by to visit! He's much more off a carpenter than I am.

Tried to rescue my son's vacuum cleaner. He over used it to clean up after renovation at his house and there was severe flash over on the armature. I removed the armature to skim it on the lathe as the segments seemed to have moved out of position from overheating. Proved to be a total waste of time although I actually enjoyed doing it.

Did some cleaning out of failed Sprinkler Timers. Threw out some trash. Picked up a pair of new looking brake rotors from the neighbors garage sale left overs, they are marked as fitting my buddies Tundra. If he doesn’t want them they may become flywheels for a future machine build.

Raked more dead leaves this AM in prep for the fireworks...

I had to replace the main sprinkler valve for the side yard drip-mist sprinklers. - it finally died. That side yard gets deep watered as the amount of water is really slow (no runoff or puddles.)

I also fixed 4 LED solar yard lights, some with new NiMh batteries, some got the "massive over voltage" shot to see if the old NiCads could have the shorting parts blown out - worked for 2 - they all got very hot, but if 12V won't clear (and pretty much instacharge) a 1.2V NiCad, its done..

Actually I don't think its really a "charge" as much as once the shorts are blown out, then the voltage returns to normal.

I need to buy more batteries or new solar yard lights... (you can often get them as cheap as just the batteries)
