Fixed my lift today. I replaced the toggle switch as well as the plug, and she lives again. I'll swap the old components in separately to verify who the actual culprit was. It's nice to have it back up though.

That crate looks great.Neighbor has this old typewriter shipping crate. Wanted to turn it into a coffee table.

Here's a Nauga.Re-stained the genuine Naugahyde Grabber Orange inserts in my Mustang as my jean shorts start to bleed dye when I sweat in temp's over 90F. I was able to remove the blue but I damaged the die on the skin of the inserts....
Acetone to remove any impurities, leather cleaner to neutralize the acetone, and Fiebings Orange Naugahyde dye to make it look like new! I wonder if Nauga's are a delicacy because I never had ate one yet...they must be expensive! ...like Kobe beef or something.
From now on, in warmer temps, I am going to be sitting on a towel so I don't stain the seats with the jeans I am wearing!!!
Curious if this happened to anyone else with there leather seats? I imagine white would be a real PITA to keep pristine!
Off to cream the seats as I noticed in the picture, they look dry.
I had pearl white naugahyde seats in my 69 Impala. They never turned colors, and we're easy to clean if they got dirty. Maybe your seats are stained, instead of being a through and through coloration?

Those skins are from the shedding process. I think the correct term for today's product is "Pleather", Vinyl, or Vegan Leather?
I think jean shorts are cool old school...guess "PLAID" is the way to go now days....*sigh*
Maybe a mix to satify everyones tastes?
I going out looking for Grabber Orange shorts now...that aught to keep me from re-staining the seats!

Replaced a broken air valve on one of the wheels of my camping trailer. The grandchildren love to climb onto the top and I allow them. After all it is a sturdy trailer, but somehow their small feet always seem to find the valve (especially if the valve is somewhere in the 9-o-clock position) to step on first. After that I cleaned up my burned stove to assess the fire damage.

Squished mud in the stairwell. Dragged in a noisy drum sander for repair. $$$

I cleaned up so I could get the convertible back in the garage.
The upper edge of the rear window came loose in the heat. I had just finished re-gluing the bottom edge and sides. The top was good... Initially.
I know what I will be doing in the garge this weekend.

Starting to pack up my garage starting from the upper back corners as I plan to stage boxes close to the big door. Figure I gonna post up my bench drill press on the local buy sell groups as free to whoever brings a truck. I also can deliver for 50$.

Set the post and beam for my short roof extension on the machine shed 
I added a chicken run extension. The middle portion was built in my shop. Its hot af outside. I had my swamp cooler going all ahead flank to keep me cool. Wife helped me move it into position. The chickens are happy with the addition. I just got done painting it... man its hot outside.

fixaflat to rear tires as they would very slowly loose air over a course of several weeks. Also stored some household items temporarily while we are remodeling the house.

Trying to teach my grandson how to do basic car maintenance so he doesn't spend $90.00 for a Valvoline oil change again. I told him to stop at WM and pickup a jug of 5-30 Supertech Syn oil. He showed up with a quart. Fortunately I had enough oil laying around to add to the change. He will eventually get it.

Yesterday; we went to a rental with enough plumbing parts to attend to a complaint about two running toilets. Made the tenant happy by changing one leaking flapper valve.
Today; Returned the unused parts to Home Depot and left with 4 decent looking 8' 2X4 studs to work on another problem at a different property. The price of the lumber was less than the credit for returning the plumbing stuff.

That's a good problem to have. I'll probably fold it at first and then leave it unfolded as I weld more.

Installed around 675 sq/ft of fiberglass batt insulation in the ceiling. Super fun in July. Onto the walls today.

Like several of my last reports, I end up here at the cottage and end up literally doing nothing but eat, drink & relax. I'll be here alone next weekend, so more garage work will be possible!

Took some measurements for new 4 foot LED shop lights. With a 600 sf L-shaped garage, looks like 12-16 will do. Outlets in the ceiling will be quite handy in this effort.

Rolled the boat out, ran the engine for about 30 minutes to flush out the antifreeze, gave it a good bath, rolled it back in.
Need to finish cleaning it today, check the wheel bearings and tire pressures. Right tire looks kind of lumpy on the sidewall, I'm thinking it needs replacement so it doesn't give out on the road.

IDK if anyone has told you yet, but "genuine Naugahyde" isn't leather...
Even if they did, it's vinyl. They shouldn't be staining from sweat soaked denim...
