Picked up a Bosch Profactor series 1/2" impact from the local Lowes Bosch rep. Got the impact, 2 free 2ah batteries, free Bosch cap, free tool bag, and a free 8ah Profactor battery with charger starting kit. $250, and I had $120 from off loading a spare 80v blower kit this week. He was out of the pencils and extra 8ah batteries, thus the 2 smaller batteries.

Nice! I got an older 3240 in my road box!

So far I really like it. I watched the EEV shootout and it received high marks for solid design and build quality. In the end he didn't recommend it based on lack of some functions but this isn't replacing my full sized DMM, I bought for my track box. Has everything I need for that purpose.

I love the compact size and the hard case. The display has nice contrast, response time is good, and so far in my limited testing it is accurate enough. Hopefully it lasts, my last small DMM (Aneng 8009, bought about a year ago) that this replaces **** the bed with very limited use

Another good one, if you can find it, is an Ideal 61-605. Small but packs a bunch. I use mine all the time for quick reads.

That will definitely serve you well. I do find it almost comical that they put the spot on that for a belt clip loop, who is gonna hang that stout ******* off their belt/pants? I'm sure there are other instances that the clip would be handy though.
Construction guys or guys in the skilled trades, not just automotive mechanics use impacts.

Milwaukee was smart enough to put it on so someone could take it off rather than not have it on it from the beginning.

I’m aware of that, I have worked in many trades. I just know how much my 1/2” high torque Dewalt weighs and I cannot imagine someone clipping that onto their person unless they had no other option. To each their own obviously.

Mr. snappy got me again today, found this little guy hiding in his trade in box, asked how much, he said $60, I offered $40 cash and he said it’s yours. I’m a sucker for blue and black hard handles, next week will probably be the black hard handle nut drivers that I don’t need haha

Have needed to remove buggered up screws in the past. I didn't know about these types of pliers specifically for that task. Saw all the excitement over the new Knipex pliers, but didn't want to spend that much as it's not something I do a lot. Hope these Engineer pliers will serve me well. The packaging has a cartoon dinosaur biting a screw. Or maybe it's a Godzilla variant, these are Japanese pliers ;)

I have that handle in Combat Tan and I love it. I wanted blue but he didn’t have one on the truck and he gave me the tan for $99 since he had it for awhile. Just bought that last week. I love that handle I plan on picking up more in each drive as I get the funds to do so.

Recent acquisitions! The router table, planer, c-clamps, and screw driver lot came from a local estate sale. The Stanley adjustable t-bevel came from an antique store and impact driver from eBay

Yup that sucker is heavy! I thought the same thing when I bought the 1st gen High Torque but it's nice that they did put the mount on it for guys that might use it. Mine didn't actually come with the clip or screw though. That sucker was too big & heavy for my needs, didn't need that kind of power either so I gave it to my lil brother.

The Mid Torque & Compact impacts do come with the clips though. I found the clips to be more annoying than useful so I took em off. Just my preference & I only use those impacts at home for working on cars. I only use the clips on my impact driver & drill but even the drill I find it on the heavy side for clipping on my belt or pants. But it does come in handy for hanging on a ladder or step stool when I'm at work.

I’ve got them on my drivers and my brushless drill and they are handy for exactly what you said, hanging them on ladders among other things. My 3/8 drivers are of the 12v Dewalt/Mac variety and they’re tiny but can do some work! Very light in the hand.

That’s a hell of deal! I need to try to hunt down a Snap-On truck, I’m a field technician(not automotive) so I don’t really have a place for them to come visit.

New Craftsman tools. The first one I was introduced too by my coworker. I always thought it was one of those gimmicks that they had but I was wrong it saves your fingers from hot oil when doing an oil change. He let me use it and said he guaranteed by next week I’d have one and boy was he correct. I don’t do many oil changes anymore but man when I do this will be handy.

Second and third picture is a 19mm impact socket. Someone switched the tag on it though and it was just laying on the shelf but it’s the only one they had. I have a 19mm impact it’s just it’s getting worn out and starting to fade and round off stuff so I went ahead and purchased another one.

I also picked up a 4.5mm and 5.5mm socket. I know I’ll definitely need the 5.5 I’ve been using that almost everyday as we work on a ton of Fords I don’t know how much I’ll use it once I move to a specific brand but it’s serving me well now. Not sure I’ll ever need the 4.5 deep socket but I got it to fill in the gap and it’s good to have anyways. Unfortunately didn’t pay attention and grabbed an old stock made in China one but oh well for something that small I’m not worried and if it does break all it takes is an email to Craftsman for a replacement.

Lastly, radiator and hose picks. Very handy. I was originally going to buy some from Snap-on but I decided to give these a try instead. It was the last pack they had on the shelf and I always see them sold out so they must be pretty decent.

I’ll probably be laughed at by my coworkers but honestly I don’t care. They buy what works for them, I buy what works for me. They laugh when I buy Snap-on too they think everything should come from Harbor Freight. Craftsman has been good to me about warranty and they are building a factory here in my hometown so I figured I will be good back to them by buying their stuff.

I think OTC first introduced the magnetic drain plug more than awhile ago but, it's the best thing since sliced bread  protects your fingers from hot oil. I didn't know craftsman had a version but, I stopped following Craftsman years ago. Good score on the hose picks. They kind of remind me of the lisle versions but, at $25 or so, a wise choice.

Wow, that's one of the nicest looking oil filter sockets I have ever seen. I'm used to seeing stamped or cast for that style. Never wanted to buy one because of that. That one looks fully machined. Do you know what type of mating drive it uses between the red anodized part & the cup, ie. square, spline, hexagonal, etc.?

Nice! That oil drain plug magnet can be a Godsend! I had one for years and only started using about 2 years ago for some odd reason. Now I won't do an oil change without it.

Another OTC drain plug tool owner here. I use it for every single oil change…

So I might of bought an impact 🙂. A cordless impact. And new guy at work won’t be using it I know that for a fact. This is the one I wanted since I plan to build up my collection of Milwaukee stuff. My parents said they would buy me the Kobalt or they would give me the amount towards this one. I told them I’d be grateful for either one but they have bought me a lot of stuff so I insisted on buying this on my own. I paid $349 for it. But they did buy me the three year warranty for it for $55. I got it at the Home Depot which I’m not a big fan of but they had it. They had one and it was at the Home Depot in the ghetto lol. We called earlier but they said absolutely no holds. And we got 10% off from my moms military discount. I feel like I got a good deal.
Hershberger? lol

Looks like 3/8 drive or 24mm and 15/16th socket or wrench.

That's not what I was asking. I'm curious what the drive is between the red anodized hub & the cup, hence the snap holding them together.

EDIT: Wow, didn't expect them to only be $25, I expected more, free shipping too. Thanks for the link. Unfortunately the one they have listed for Toyota is too small for the OEM Toyota filters I use. I just emailed them asking for more details on their 74mm one. I hope that one works for me & if yes I guess I'll find out for myself about the hub connection.
