So that’s why Ridgid stopped doing it. 😉 Probably afraid they would get sued.

Pretty sure TTI owns both Milwaukee and Ridgid....
Yes Under contact from Emerson they make tools for them Hart and Ryobi also. They have been down they road before about the batteries. I think it was Emerson and Milwaukee? My comment was more of a joke.

What was the problem just having a tool and a battery? Who the hell needs to have a computer in the tool to hook up to the internet?? Getting ridiculous if you ask me.
It is but you can blame the generation up and coming.

Bluetooth, wifi..all this **** that is just music to their ears.

I mean they're afraid of real labor so perhaps they think they can download an app that will run the tool, do the job, and put it away all at once.

Unless I can completely disable one key, I won't be purchasing any tools that have it. I'm tired of being tracked by electronic devices. If it gets to the point where I can no longer buy Milwaukee power tools without one key, I will be switching brands.

Well...

It almost put Smith and Wesson out of business with that stupid idiotic integrated lock.

great, let's give another Chinese company access to our devices via an App you have to allow them to install

I don't know why they would possibly want access to pictures, microphone, contacts, storage devices, and to track our locations do you?

Wait til the U S Government puts Milwaukee tools on the do not allow on base or anyplace else list ( like DJI Drones got banned from Government use)
