Those mini pry bars are cheap on Amazon, 3 for $10. They come in all sorts of colors in different branding/various sellers.

I have those same PQY branded ones posted above, I removed the branding on mine. They come in very handy!

Yup... I found some with magnets on the **** end... they are in my cart... I have both the 4140 and the Mueller already... use them at least once a week... well... today even. I also have a professional aircraft company's version of the 4140... WAY thinner, deadly even. It has a bake-a-light type handle.

Gotta have those mini's tho...

sorry for the poor pictures... It's a lot sharper than it looks. Also there are absolute sharpening marks on the back side of the blade. The only markings on the tool are shown. Not sure where I got the thing from. It's DEFINATELY not spring steel... it's firm as hell. Handle is press rivited to the tool as well.

It feels **** in the hand... if that matters.

Well FB Marketplace has got the best of me so I ended up picking up this Powermatic 54A Jointer today. Yes, it was together and running when I bought it but I wanted to take it apart to clean, lubricate, and make sure everything looked “ok”. I bought it for $800 and I sure won’t say I got a ok deal because the surface rust was quite a bit worse than I thought…
I ended using a wire wheel to clean off the bulk rust. I really dunno what I am going to do yet. Random orbital with sandpaper? Just stick with scotch-brite and lubricant? I win some - I lose some. At least it wasn’t terribly expensive and it will probably work fine in the end.

I purchased the “pop rivet tool” as I call it for those annoying plastic pop rivets that all cars seem to have these days everywhere. I bought that one for home since I wanted to make sure that spot in my home box was filled. Plus I like having extras of everything. I purchased the 20mm to fill in my set at work. Plus this is my first Carlyle tool I’ve been wanting to try them. Since I’m a Subaru tech now I probably won’t ever use it unless I’m working on a Ford or something. The 11mm socket is to fill in my set as well. Sadly made in China but I don’t think it will see much use anyway. Now the only ones I need to fill in my work set are a 25mm deep and 26mm shallow and deep which I have at home but don’t want to break them up to take to work.

The 24mm I got for our brake cleaner cans that we fill up since we get it in bulk plus I needed an impact one anyway as I have chrome already. It is Taiwan made. The Napa stuff I got because Craftsman didn’t have it and I wanted to check out the new Napa in town that’s closer than the other one. They are slow but it is a nice store and a ton more tools than the other one.

Also got this rebuild kit for my big 30 inch Matco which I realized had a split pawl in it after a few times of playing with it.

I really have an awesome Snap-on dealer. He gave more than twice what I paid for my old equivalent Gearwrench set to upgrade to the Snap-on set. I’ve had the metric set for about two years and can’t say enough good things about them. Very happy to have the SAE set now…

Thats a great set. I wish they would add a 5/16", 7/8", and 1" to it. I love the Flank Drive Plus and reversible ratchet head.

Does Ford use 20mm somewhere on newer vehicles? I've never encountered it through 2011 MY......
My friends 1986 Bronco 2 has some aftermarket suspension components that you need a 20mm socket and wrench for. That’s what I used it on. Apparently it’s common in aftermarket Ford parts is what I was told.

Agreed. Although, I do have those sizes in my standard (non-ratcheting) set. On a related note, I remember that my dealer threw in the 15/16” and 1” wrenches for free when I bought that set.

The ratchet seems relatively ok. I have plenty of quality ratchets though, so it will likely become a Christmas present.

The sockets are *dry*. They will get a wipe-down with CLP later.

They are dry, but will shine if you actually use them. They are really handy if you put them in a ratcheting wrench. That ratchet is ergonomically perfect to me, the action is really smooth, it's super skinny, I put it to use in pro environment. The magic switching frustrates me, but it is skinny. I put up with it, I have many ratchets. I read people cutting a piece of spring off on sk's, what's the secret to this one? The selector likes to switch, on its own under vigorous use. Otherwise, holding in my hand, fixed, standard length, this is tops for handle shape, I'd pay ten to twenty more for a little knurl

Took advantage of the coupon deal last weekend. I’m trying to condense my work tools to save drawer space. So far I’m pretty pleased though I had to take apart the 3/8 to figure out why it seemed to be a little rough out of the box. I can’t believe I never thought about swivel ratchets before. Seems like a no-brainer now.

Well another GJ tool I really want to add. I have two of the 4140 pry tools and they've come in so damn handy so often already.

I'm going to resist. That thing looks awesome though...

I have both of those, and I'm a fan.

I recently did a timing set on a Ford 3.5 NA and discovered I was woefully unprepared to pull or reinstall the crank pulley/harmonic balancer.

So, new-to-me Lisle master puller set and BluePoint installation set.

I got the Lisle second-hand missing some pieces but they're quite good about allowing you to order virtually any piece-- although it's not exactly inexpensive it's not outrageous either.

New Metabo grinder. It is one of their flathead style grinders. Here it is in comparison with one of their other 5" grinders

As you can see from the profile, it will fit into some places that the more traditional grinders won't.

It is lower powered than the full size one (7.5 amp vs 14.5) The new one is model WEF 9-125 and the older one is WE-17-125.
