After reading many threads on here I decided to just go with the Rustoleum Professional. I also added the clear kit on top. I have about 850 sq ft but that doesn't include the 6 inch rise around three of the walls. I used three kits of tan epoxy and three kits of the clear.
Prepping:
I used a pressure washer to clean off the entire floor. I first tried the rustoleum acid etch product but that didn't do anything. I went back to Menards and picked up some muriatic acid. I tried to dilute it with water but it wasn't giving me the texture I wanted so I just put it on straight but made sure the floor was completely wet (I figure it was about a 1:1 mix). Once I let the acid do its thing for a few minutes I pressured washed twice and then let it dry for a few hours. Once it was mostly dry, I pressure washed it one more time. I acid etched twice but I don't think the second application did much of anything.
I had a few spots where the winter salt was eating at the concrete and I just filled them in with the patch and repair kit.
I did not prep the concrete riser since I already had the drywall up. I figured it wouldn't see much abuse so it probably isn't a huge deal.
Applying the epoxy:
I let the floor dry for a few days before I applied the epoxy. I just followed the directions that came with the kit and it was pretty easy.
Baseball spikes work better than regular shoes but I would recommend trying to find some golf spikes if you can.
I was debating getting a POD for storage but I decided against it. I saved $300 by doing the floors in sections.
I didn't epoxy the apron since it is mostly exposed to the outside. I plan on putting a sealer down at some point this summer.
