Boric acid in floor/wall gap before kitchen cabinets installed

I'm getting ready to install my kitchen base cabinets. I'm in Brookyn NY in a 3-family building. The building is attached on both sides to similar buildings. I was thinking about sprinkling some boric acid b/w the gap of the finished floor and the wall. Right behind where the base cabinets slide in. That way if roaches try to make it to my place from next door, they'll be dead fairly soon. (72 hours).

Good idea?

Mix it with diatomaceous earth. Boric acid won't work if it gets wet (condensation), but DE will. We use a mix to keep ants out of the house. Works perfectly.

"Done. Thanks guys. From what I’ve read boric acid doesn’t affect humans."

It appears that way, but if I had little one around I would be careful to conceal it.
I would definitely apply it carefully, likely safer then bug spray, definite safer than professional exterminators ( they will spray anything in NYC).

I really wanted to dust that stuff all over my porch (wife had a bad habit of putting trash bags out there instead of in the can which caused an outside infestation of the porch... then they occasionally came inside). Decided against it due to our cat that stays on the porch, and apparently boric acid affects cats moreso than humans. But yeah, anywhere kids/pets can't get to it, go for it.

Went on Amazon to order some boric acid to put in a concrete seam before I caulk over it.

Well this was unexpected.

Now searching specifically for "boric acid powder".
For "****"roach issues?

Thank you, I'll see myself out.
