Tuned up the Lawn Boy, changed the oil, blade and air filter.
Lined a plastic milk crate with 1/4" plywood to replace a 5 gallon bucket as the emergency tool box for the RV.
Put a bunch of cheet away.

I replaced both springs on the duck boat trailer. I had done a rebuild on it a few years back but didnt do springs.

Some nuts gave up to the impact others to a cutoff wheel and grinder. The corrosion was severe from 26 years of salt marsh use.

Then I repacked the bearings on both axles.

After that i hung two electrical cord reels from the ceiling. Have at least 3 more to hang. The shop is 55x70 that Im still getting lined out.

Installed my exhaust.

I painted the rear most muffler part black to be OEM ish... I don't like shiny mufflers. I was on the fence between burnt titanium tips or stainless steel. I ended up going with a burnt titanium tips It goes nicely with the blue on my F badge. I'm happy with the sound even though I haven't driven it or revved it but cold starts sound amazing and when it idles there's a slight rumble to it nothing like how it was so quiet with the factory exhaust.

OEM

Installed:. I was very liberal with the exhaust gasket sealer just in case...lol.

Pulled the 2018 Edge out of the garage, washed it, pulled back into the garage. Clay barred and waxed it. Pulled it back out of the garage to see where I missed removing any wax and had the wife pull it back in.......then when we got in to go do the weekend errands, all I heard was relays clicking, indicators chiming and no start. Checked the battery voltage...10.1 volts.

Ended up spending $143.05 on a Motorcraft Battery, installing it (access *****), and away we went.

Dragged in my new portable DeWalt table saw, after The Depot dropped it off- took advantage of their recent sale. Good to have one for many uses, but its initial use will probably be to cut RaceDeck tiles, once I figure out the layout and determine how many I need, and get them delivered.

Finally got the oil changed in moms car. Had to wait for dad to not be working as mom won’t drive it on the ramps and won’t let me drive it at all lol. Tomorrow hopefully I’ll get the tires rotated on the two Camry. Also sorted through the tools I got at the pawn shop today too. The drain plug on the Camry was seized I had to dig out the big boy 1/2 breaker bar. I was really surprised as I’m the only one who changes the oil. I guess since it’s been a year since it isn’t driven that much the plug probably seized from the heat and cold every time it’s run. I kept hitting my head on the ground too because dad wants to sit in the car the whole time and weigh it down lol. With the huge breaker bar and a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter I was able to get the little drain piece out of the bottom of the cartridge filter but no oil drained out so when I took the filter out it all splattered everywhere I was kinda angry lol.

Did you forget to screw in the little plastic doohickey that opens the filter drain valve?

No I had it screwed in as far as it goes. Nothing came out. Maybe I didn’t have it in all the way I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♂️. I thought it was. The filter did come with a different looking one than usual though so could of been the issue right there.

Attempted to solder a 3/8" brass pipe bushing into the bottom of a biscuit tin (Cookie Can) and was not successful. The propane torch would not heat the bushing enough to melt 50/50 solder. Plan B will involve JB Weld.

Changed a tail light bulb on the 2018 F-150. Water leaked into the housing and burned out the bulb. Based on some internet searches this is a common issue with the F-150 tail lights and has led to some electrical module issues. While I had it out, I drilled a 3/16" hole in both tail light housings to let any water intrusion drain.

I changed the transmission filter in the Yukon as well as the rear differential fluid. I tried very hard not to wish trouble on the ****** bean counter who decided not to put a drain in the pan.

Cleaned the shop from the tiles mess. Shortened the door to the stairwell, so it will close, now that there are tiles. Cleaned up again. Effed with the PW hoses, cause one blew, right next to me.

That sounds odd, did you concentrate the heat on the bushing? was it and the tin completely clean?
Yes I concentrated the torch flame on the 3/8 Brass Pipe Bushing an in addition to buffing the can with a Scotch Brite wheel, I used two kinds of soldering flux. I purchased the J-B Weld for "Plan B" this morning.

Put away some tools from the pawn shop and tried to make room for them around the basement lol. Also took the ones that need to be replaced and filed warranty claims on all of them. I didn’t realize how much stuff we had. Luckily we threw some stuff out today.

Spent the weekend painting and sanding the motorcycle fender. Was hoping to start spraying base coat, but accidentally sanded all the way through the primer yesterday and had to put another coat on last night.

Should finish sanding the primer tonight.

Also removed the automatic drain on the air compressor. The one I bought I've now gone through two of them and they keep leaking air after a few cycles. I'll just go back to manually draining the tank when I use it for now.

Got some divider organizers for my drawers. Labeled my big socket drawer so when you pull them out you know what is where…..obviously, I know what is where, but on the weekends when the buddies come over and wrench, makes it faster for them to get me stuff….haha. Can’t say enough good things about Westling Machining and their socket trays - love how everything is turning out!

Also, got some VIM magnetic socket holders and am using those to hold my extensions on the side of my ratchet drawers. I used a metal cutting blade on my saw to cut them into thirds. This way none of the extensions roll around in the drawer….also holds the head of my Milwaukee ratchet so it doesn’t roll around either…..image.jpgimage.jpg

Finished parting out the charging cabinets, atleast enough to get rid of most of them. My pickup has a pretty much level bed full of all the plastic destined to live in the ground.KIMG1348.JPG

Dragged this little fella home, pressure washed, scrubbed, dried with large torch, then coated outside with BLO and inside with cooking spray. Then seasoned it with a nice warm fire.

My Craftsman 30 gallon compressor was overheating and tripping the breaker after using my angle die grinder for about a half hour or so. After letting it cool down it would start running again. Then after siting over night I couldn't get it to start up at all. I check the caps and they were working fine. So I tore the motor apart and cleaned the contacts, the armature and commutator. The bearings were in good shape so I just gave them a bit of grease. After reassembly it work like new! I was kinda hoping it was dead, so that I'd have a good excuse to upgrade to a Quincy 60 gallon QT-54.

You still have a good reason for the new compressor, the current one is not big enough.

Tore the brakes apart on the Mustang...got an issue.KIMG1353.JPGKIMG1354.JPGKIMG1355.JPG

For what possible purpose? I'd tell him to either eff off & start helping.
