Dang! That's pretty awesome. Sounds like it's been removed from a building already?
Text from the E-bay ad:
"Mosler Antique Vault Door. Originally installed in 1960
Professionally removed from a bank in Los Angeles and transported to our shop in Ozark, Missouri. We have all trim pieces, including rod style fencing and day gate, time locks and hardware.
This door is 24 inches thick and scaled at 49,000 pounds with the custom built frame. Scale on the crane registered 46,000 pounds, just for the door.
The owner (a bank in Kansas) originally planned to install this in a new facility, but later changed their focus to mergers and acquisitions.
The door is in excellent condition. We also have a book from the bank, giving their history which includes the purchase of this doors including picture from the date of installation.
The extraction of this door was filmed in a time lapse format, over three days, which can be made available to seriously interested parties only.
Buyer must make arrangements to ship from our shop. We have sources available.
Payment to be wire transfer directly to owner."
