Moved the new to us dining table out of the garage. The legs are not removable so I had to go around the house and up two sets of stairs. Turn it sideways to get through the front door, then lift and lower it on it's side to get it into the dining room. It was actually easier than I had envisioned and SWMBO is very happy.

Just wrangled my shiny new tool cabinet / bench into the garage. Consolidating a lot of scattered tools into it later tonight. Later on it will become the 'general purpose' work top in our 3car. I'm turning a single bay into a proper workshop and just about everything in it is on wheels as well, so things can be re-organized or expanded or condensed at will.
Have 18LF of a high cabinets on french cleats down the side wall and rolling shelves as divider between shop space and garage proper.

And setting up (4) 4x6 beams for cutting into segmented posts for my concrete pillar casting / pergola project. Just cut 14" square holes in the patio slab yesterday, preparing to excavate substantial footings for the concrete pillars and to support the patio slab. Hoping to get the already cast pillar sections fully assembled / installed by Halloween.

Started making provisions for some shelves. I've been considering shelves for a while, but with limited space like mine, they become an issue for cleaning the floor or working on the passenger side of the car. Problem solved. Roll the shelves into the driveway when I need room.

I got these two freebie 24" x 48" x 78" MetroMax waterproof/antimicrobial rolling shelves from work. They were getting tossed in a dumpster, so...

They're like new and list for $2300/ea. :yikes:

That is a fantastic deal, Tommy.
The rolling storage really helps. In my prior overcrowded 2-car, I was using my rolling shelves like those collapsing records storage racks you see in some medical offices, where the shelves are collapsed close together and you crank a handle to move them over and open up an aisle. 2-3-4 sections of shelving and only one aisle space. Saves a lot of room.

Cut a hole through the outside wall and installed a weather resistant receptacle. We are planning to put a green house heater in the green house for the winter and needed a place to plug in the extension cord. Sat in the doorway and listened to some tunes and cooled down a bit. Oh, and I hung up the new mower key that I picked up at the box store on Saturday.

Just got back from a 980 mile cruise from Gulfport, Mississippi and caught some rain on the way inbound.
Parked my pony in her stall and instantly removed the nose protector and mirror protectors.
They got hung to dry on the cloths line I have in the garage.
Now I have puddles in the garage as the liners drip dry.

I usually don't run with a nose protector on trips below 150 miles. Over 150 miles, I apply this exclusive Ford OEM Product and fits my car well. I tape the paint where the leading edges touch and the car is ceramic coated so I can run at speed without much worry about chaffing the paint. The car needs a bath. ...tomorrow ...LOL.

Just about everything is on wheels in my garage, so handy to move especially when you need that space. Really nice score, and yes “you ****”

After use, clean with plain water, dry, then a thin coat of canola oil.
Terry, I've used canola oil for years but I have the bad habit of cooking stuff on high. I've recently switched to safflower oil, which smokes at 510°F compared to canola at 400°F. That higher smoke point also makes cleanup of lightly greased cookware coming out of a 450°F oven much easier.

I usually don't cook at that high of a temp, except for searing meat, usually post sous vide.
However, since Mrs Fan thinks there are only 2 settings on the stove, Off and Nuclear, I might have to try some!
As I'm sure you know, the seasoning process involves taking the oil above the smoke point.
I'm curious if the higher smoke point of the safflower oil would result in a harder season...
You've got me thinking, Bob!

Restocked the Paper Towel holder and put anther roll in the cabinet as a backup, carried over another roll of TP and put it in the cabinet over the Garage Toilet, blew the condensate from the air compressor tank, threw a little trash into the garage trash can and stood on the calf stretcher.

I clear coated this old safe which I inherited from my Grandparents. It was used at some point between 1869 to 1935 in my ancestors department store (Anthony Hordern & Sons, biggest department store in the entire world at one point) so I thought it worth preserving. I think I'll turn it into a side table/drinks storage, though it doesn't have a huge amount of space inside and it weighs an absolute tonne.

I lengthened the tongue on the one I pulled behind my nighttrain. It helps keep it from wobbling side to side and added a place for my cooler.
I lengthened the tongue a bit by moving one of the cross members closer to the front. My carrier is 60“ long so I’m not sure I will mount a cooler rack or not yet. I might just leave it in the carrier. It’s a big one. I was going to get one like yours but I think it’s a 10 cubic feet, I opted for the 18 cubic feet. It’s my first so it’s a trial for now. Taking it out in about 3 weeks …

Nice. I don't know what size mine is. All I remember is I got it on Craigslist for $20 because the guy had lost the keys for it.

We've had such nice temps here in Northern Utah for the past week plus but I understand that is supposed to change after today. Last night I put a few welding supplies away that I had ordered from Arc-Zone then got the Reznor heater in the shop prepped for winter. After that I moved on to the furnace in the house so we are almost ready for the cooler weather that is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Last item to do before snow flies is winterize the sprinkler system but I think I still have a few weeks of nearly normal temps before I have to get that done so I'll wait until the rain stops after this week.
