carborator kit (sp????)

Hi guys, have a random question. I went to work with my rotatiler (sp?"??) today and it's not so happy. It needs a new carborator repair kit. ... problem is, it's from the 1960s-70s. It's actually made by the same people who made the shopsmith. Here's the deal:
It's a Tillsmith, model 500326, serial no 2430
It's a long shot, I know! But, do any of you have an idea where to look for this part? I suppose I could by a new one.... but, it will work fine if I find this part. And, I don't have the money!!! anyways, any help would be great! cheers, bird

I think those just used a Briggs engine, so you should find some numbers on the engine shroud stamped into the metal. Just about any small engine parts place should be able to get them.

I can't find anything but a bunch of numbers: pat no 2999491, other numbers: 92902 1115-01, 74052102 and 509809..... so this is probably useless, but it's all the random numbers I could find on the machine. None seemed to be on a metal plate, which is what I was looking for. .... any clue about if these numbers are helpful or not. Thanks for your help, cheers, bird

If you got those numbers off the tin shroud that covers the flywheel and houses the pull start and they were located just above the spark plug, I think you have the right numbers. 92902 I think is your model number. Any good small engine shop should be able to fix you up. Look again and see if those numbers are idetified or seperated by model /code / serial , etc.. Probably stamped much lighter than the numbers.

The numbers you need to take to almost any small engine parts shop are 92902 1115-01. That engine came off the production line on May 21, 1974. Its a 9 cu in engine.
