My newest hand tool upgrade arrived. I was doing an electrical project recently and was pissed about how my wire cutters appeared to be blunt instruments. I think I got them out of the bargain bin at Ace six years ago. So I treated myself to something nice. Something red. Something German.

Excellent quality right out of the box. They all operate smooth and the handles are wider and flatter near the tail end, giving you better purchase and more comfort. Overall, extremely pleased.
Find a sale, or just bit the bullet? I might need to do the latter, but before I do, just thought I'd ask. I see some discounts of 15% or 20%

Back in the 1990's my Dad had suffered several mini strokes without telling anyone. He became obsessed with sweepstakes scams prevalent at the time where you pay money for a chance to win a prize. He "won" a "chainsaw" just like what you have. I didn't work, the chain just rolls over on it's side and the ropes were just cheap cord. I hope that you have better luck.

Yea... I am not counting my chickens on this one. I picked this one because it has features to prevent that rolling thing. I am not afraid of using my own cord with the thing either. I have a supply of climbing cord and even heavy duty paracord in 100 foot hocks. Some are rated to 1/2 a ton.

It was a small investment in the hope to save BIG BUCKS. My local tree guy won't come out for less than $1,000 and my guess because of where this is... it would be more.

I bought this set for $250 in power blue, I didn’t plan on buying anything from Mr. Snappy last week, but the fu*ker knows I love blue and he gave me a awesome discount haha edit to add he does not wheel and deal much lately, everything is usually list, maybe 10% under list,

Hoffmann Group Garant (PB Swiss) flat blade screwdriver set to go along with the Phillips set I already had. These are an absolute steal right now.

The Hoffmann Garant set looks killer!
But I’m not understanding why these are a steal right now? Is there discount code or something making them cheaper than the $50-70 listed on Hoffman’s site, cause the price difference between Garant and PB seem like a wash to me. :dunno:

Hoffmann Garant 6 piece flat blade set is $68.82
PB Swiss 6 piece flat blade set is $69.56

I paid $27. This is the 5 piece set. For some reason the 6 piece was listed at regular price and the 5 piece was heavily discounted. I couldn't pass them up for under $30.

I didn’t know they had the power blue pliers. My dealer ordered me the power blue screwdrivers last week man now there is temptation to buy these lol cause I love blue as well.

I bought these add ons for my toolbox. Also purchased the top box and side cabinet. I was informed they discontinued the locker which really would of came in handy. Inside Track Club got 15% off all US General and Yukon tool storage this past weekend so I took advantage since my box is full almost and I need tons more tools still. I was going to buy one of the roll carts but I think I’ll wait till Black Friday or something or see if Snap-on has a used or repo for a good deal on the truck sometime. The side cabinet and top had to be ordered because they didn’t have orange and it’s expected to be in by the 27th.

Annnnd there I was just yesterday, sitting at my bench wondering how the heck my wife managed to tear up my screwdrivers (tekton set) So quick.

And then today all the sudden I have PB Swiss and Garant drivers on the way.

How ‘bout that.

Damn - how??
There's a Home Improvement outlet store where I live that gets NOS and new equipment that is overstock or from closed stores. They do 50% off regular price every day and sometimes 75% off. The coolest stuff are the NOS tools that have been sitting in recently closed hardware stores that go as far back as the 80s.

Its a little piece of heaven.

I tried to purchase that Garant set for the $27... price but kept getting an error message on my iPad trying to add it to the cart. I let a day go by and tried again same thing so I tried from my laptop and the price is up. So I am not sure if that was the reason I couldn't put it in my cart or not

Wilton Tradesman 1755, found on FB marketplace. Cost me $350, more than I wanted to pay - but this thing is brand new. There’s not a single hammer mark anywhere on it, nor is there a spot of rust. All the other ones in this price range were beaten half way to hell, and would have required restoration and/or parts. Not having to spend any time and money restoring was worth it, and I really wanted to find one without ******* marks. This one is from right at the end of the USA manufacturing for the Tradesman line - keyway shows a 04/18 date of manufacture. Can’t wait to mount her up!

Been wanting a bigger tapping head & was looking for one off & on for the past few years. Finally the right PERFECT one came along. Also a TC/DC model (depth control) which I didn't really care about having for the bigger one since my smaller Tapmatic is a TC/DC so that was a plus. But the best part is that it's brand new, never used, still sealed, even the box is mint, & I got for only $350! SCORE! That's cheaper than what some of these sell for used. These cost just under $1K new. Can't believe no one else bid on it! I'm soooo happy right now! :rocker:

Seller even included a brand new Jacobs 1/2" straight arbor which wasn't mentioned in the listing. I had no idea how big these 50 models are, still smaller than a Procunier though. My 30 TC/DC has a 5/8" straight arbor. Was planning to put a 5/8" arbor on this one too but now that I see how big it is gonna have to rethink that & probably go with R8. I was also planning to sell my 30 once I got a 50 but I don't think I'm gonna do that anymore either & keep both.

New Central Tools 3/8 drive inch pound torque wrench. I’m super impressed with the quality of the tool. Appears to be very well made. Made in the US, and a little more affordable than CDI.

Got a couple of these parts trays from CountyComm…my 2 favorite colors!
I've been printing my trays on my 3D Printer. Most are small like 9" x ** or smaller. Very useful and pretty high quality for what I'm doing. I also use up the end of my rolls in doing it. I use a 20% infill at MOST since they are literally for parts etc. None are gonna be in any danger of snapping.

Posted pics in my torque wrench thread, but also wanted to show the harmonic dampener puller I got as well.

Won’t be using them until Saturday afternoon. This is gonna be the LONGEST wait EVER!!! Haha

I grabbed these Tsunoda cable tie cutters off Amazon for $20. These are my second set of Tsunoda pliers and I must say they are extremely well made.
