How do you like yours? I considered one but ended up with a quick jack due to price and mobility.
It’s awesome, I can’t recommend both the product and the company enough. My lift is portable too, but I chose to anchor it down since I have no need to move it (plus it gives me extra peace of mind). The lift height is perfect for the 10-1/2 foot ceiling in my garage - as much as I’d like the high rise, I just can’t use it in my current garage. I will say that the lift height has not prevented me from doing any work on any of our vehicles. I haven’t had to drop an engine or a transmission, but suspension, brakes, driveline, exhaust, and even undercoating for the winter has been no problem at all. Any questions I had about setup or maintenance were quickly and professionally answered by Dan Wagner in their Las Vegas office.
The lift speed is perfect, and the rate of descent is adjustable. The fact that I don’t need air to release the locks to lower the lift was a big deal for me. All my power tools are battery now, so to have a compressor installed just for the lift would be a waste for me. It’s sturdy, and lifts the heaviest vehicle we own (a 5500 lb FJ Cruiser) without any problems whatsoever. I also love that it doesn’t take any storage space - I park over it every day.
The only thing the lift lacks in my opinion are some proper cross bars to distribute the weight properly if the lift points of the vehicle fall within the inner 6” of the platforms. My FJ Cruiser has a ladder frame, and the lift points fall in that 6” inside zone. I solved that by purchasing the cross bar set from Greg Smith. A fringe benefit is that I get about 6” more of lift by using them.
