I have the Lisle rethreading tap and die kit and have misplaced my M8 X 1.25 die from it. Does anyone know of a place to source the one die?
jawco.com

Mac and Matco too.SnapOn sells the Lang ones by the piece.
Future reference another source is Jawco

Tolerance in threading tools can be looser or tighter. A rethreading die is not going to cut new threads. It will help straighten bent threads, maybe shave a little metal off existing deformed threads, and not see a great deal of load, nor teeth stress. It's not going to need to be as precise a tool as a thread-cutting die. So they can be made with less overall work and cost.I'm sorry I but I must be missing something. I've never bought rethreading taps/dies before. Why are they so cheap?
Lang/Kastar also warranty their own rethreading sets. The tool truck brands,Lang makes them.l know Matco and Snap On warranty theirs
But I don't think they warranty them against me being a ******* and loosing parts.Lang/Kastar also warranty their own rethreading sets.
I fully expect to have two of the one I replaced shortly after the replacement comes in. I know how that works. On the flip side if I never ordered a replacement the misplaced part would never show back up again.Buy a suitable replacement and you'll find the missing die in less than a week or two. Don't ask me how I know.
Yeah probably not. I was just commenting that you can still get warranty support with the oem brand. But I don't think they warranty them against me being a ******* and loosing parts.
