Looks like Knipex is making a XS version of the Pliers Wrench to complement their XS Cobra. I found the images on distributor websites but I could not find them on the Knipex website itself. Has Garage Journal once again leaked new product information before the announcement like they did for the TwinGrip?!

What do you guys think of this new Pliers Wrench? Is it too small or would it be useful to you?

PLIERS WRENCH XS

Well Done!!! Now I have something else to obsess over waiting for its release.

I really like the size of the tiny Cobras but, I also feel their jaws are a wee bit too thin. I'm not sure how well that jaw thinness would function in a pliers wrench though. I also don't see you being able to apply a huge amount of torque with four inch handles. There are a lot of possibilities though in a small package.

Cool!
Hope the new releases publications are soon then!

Looks like it will have decent capacity, so a nice addition to a small kit for when you don't need tons of torque.

Totally getting this set when it's available. Glad I held out on the small cobras until now!

My 5” PW gets more use than the other PW’s and I like the Cobra XS even though I haven’t needed it much, so… yeah, I’ll buy one.

Now that they're "out" anyone actually know somewhere that has them? KC Tool Co like instantly sold out and isn't allowing backorders. The only place I can find them is on eBay for like 30$ extra with like a month shipping. Trying to get one for my wife. She does Industrial maintenance and absolutely loves the Cobra XS.

Are there any pics on GJ or elsewhere on the internet, showing a new XS model next to one of the existing slightly larger 5" Knipex Pliers Wrenches (86 03 125)? I couldn't find any. I need small tools quite often and I already own a 5" pair which I like, but I'm not sure there's enough of a difference between the new XS 4" model and the 5" I already have to consider trying one out. I also prefer the standard pliers wrench adjustment push button (which the larger 86 04 125 has). It looks like the main difference with the XS might be shorter handles compared to the 5" model. If the main structure and thickness of the head is about the same for both pliers I will likely skip trying out a 4" model.

Anyone know if the set is available with both? I have considered getting the Cobras a handful of times, would definetely get the set with pouch if available.

What a tool to have on a submarine. Would've been great to have a few years ago.

4" adjustable wrench
1/8" hex key
Multi tool, generally any Leatherman
Flashlight

You could damn near take apart the whole ship. (Ok not really, but these tools lived on the belt)
