I do like it. Wanted blue but when I got the box only Orange or Yellow were available and I needed it then for a new job so I’d rather have Orange over Yellow any day. I have a few Orange tools and the orange accessories that fit the box nicely.
My HF also has an abundance of Orange and Yellow boxes. I guess people aren't fans of brighter colors but I love them. I'm also the weirdo in the shop that has crazy stuff all over my box so people are always staring no matter what. :ROFLMAO:

The bright green seems to get more looks than mine in the shop or the white box someone has lol. Can’t stand either of those colors but to each their own. I don’t have any stickers on mine yet. I do have the glove holder, can and screwdriver holder and screwdriver holder and tray on mine.

I just bought a red 44” and 2 of these side cabs. Maybe I should have bought an orange one to match my new snappy needle nose pliers 😂

I've kept on hearing somewhere that orange is the new black ;)

My somewhat rusty Land Cruiser project came home last week, so I decided it was time to do some body work on it myself. Even if I only did a little work on the easy sections or the stuff that wouldn't be visible, I'd be saving myself a lot of money and hopefully a little time. I'm decent with a welder and I can take my time, so if I have the truck at home I can chip away at it an hour at a time when I get the opportunity.

To that end, I gave Harbor Freight a solid chunk of my money on Saturday afternoon. I'm pretty sold on HF air tools, so I decided to pick up a few things necessary for body work.

The flange/punch tool will allow me to make lap joints where necessary and plug weld body panels together, which will be a big help. The narrow belt sander will allow me to more easily open up spot welds and clean out rust spots on the hatch and doors. The air hammer will help me separate the layers on the patch panels so I can weld each individually.

1635783918334.png

Then I picked up a body hammer and dolly set, since I didn't have any. Now I can do planishing and shaping with some proper equipment.

1635784147022.png

I also needed a hose reel for my workshop, so since I was there I picked up this 50 foot reel. I don't use air tools a ton, so I think this one should suit my needs just fine.

1635784225375.png

You'll also notice the welding magnets. I picked those up because I also ordered... A welder! Based on mountains of positive reviews and my relatively limited use case, I landed on the HF Titanium MIG 170 welder. It's very compact and apparently a really solid buy, so I'm confident I'll be able to dramatically expand my capabilities in the workshop. Unfortunately, it's a 3-week wait right now. Fortunately, the shop probably won't be ready until then anyway, so there you go. I also ordered and received an Eastwood Large-View welding helmet, again based on solid reviews and a good sale. I need to pick up some gloves, a gas cylinder, and wire, but that can wait until I actually get the welder.

Also on the way, and not from Harbor Freight: a drill press and bench vise! Getting my **** together to make this workshop a reality as soon as I can get it all moved in.

I may have spent too much today . I absolutely love the Power Blue screwdrivers. Been waiting two weeks for them. Then I needed some good torx drivers. Tired of my Craftsman tips being junk. So got the nine piece set which was $189 on sale. Then got one of the pink ratchets and talked him out of a pocket screwdriver as well .
Before I lose faith in you Blake, tell you bought the pink ratchet for Breast Cancer Awareness. :lol_hitti

I hadn't seen that hammer and dolly set at HF... That has my attention, I could use that - thanks for sharing.

DeWalt DW756 6in Bench Grinder. Threw on a wire wheel and a scotch-brite style abrasive wheel. I really wanted to restore an older made in USA model, but I have been needing/wanting to use one on my drill press restoration so I bit the bullet. Made in Taiwan and very smooth / quiet. I'm very happy.

I may need to find a narrower wire wheel than the DeWalt (DW4904) version as it rubs a bit on the outer cover plate.

OTC 1022 Puller. Made in the USA with global components per the package. Already put to use multiple times and works great.

Absolutely. One guy went all out and bought a ratchet, socks, picks, screwdrivers, anything that was pink.
:lol_hitti
I'm not a "pink" fan but I know guys that have had female family members affected by it and get into the pink thing.

We have pink duty shirts for the month of October we wear.

Two things I always support. Breast Cancer (MIL/SIL/AUNT/others) Early diagnosis saved them all. The bag I keep my **** in is pink if that helps.

I'm not sure I could use a Pink Ratchet... I would probably just polish it from time to time.

I really dig. I swapped all my home SAE socket sets over to Proto. I find their quality to be the most consistent amongst the US made sockets I have had and their prices are very competitive.
I just cannot fathom why Proto won’t make 1/2” 6-pt deep sockets in metric … very frustrating.

(Yes, I know I can get these from other USA manufacturers.)

This is how I painted my roof hook every October. I did it in memory of one of our member's (actually a close friend of mine since middle school) wife.

The hook was painted dayglo yellow the remainder of the year to make it easier to find if I dropped it inside a structure fire.

Ever since I started using Snap-on cordless ratchets, I felt they had no equal - there was always some fatal flaw in the others that I hated. With the first Milwaukee Fuel ratchet, it was the head size, and the weight, and how hard it was to operate the switch, especially with gloves on. With the Mac, it was the slow RPM, and unnecessary size.

I had some Home Depot store credit burning a hole in my pocket, and saw a deal for the new high-speed Fuel ratchet with the rubber boot for $189. A 10% off coupon made it $170, so I decided to check it out. This thing is IMPRESSIVE. The head size has been drastically reduced, and now makes the Snap-on look big. The switch is super-easy to operate, even without the “tall shift knob” that I’m planning on installing. It’s also much lighter than my old Fuel ratchet. And the speed… WOW. It’s actually comical how fast this thing is.

The Snap-on still has better ergonomics in my opinion - the body necks down to give a slimmer, more comfortable handle, and I much prefer the push-button over the Milwaukee’s paddle switch.

I do wish the Milwaukee had a grease fitting for easier maintenance, and the light on the Snap-on is far superior. Having said all that, it’s really hard to find any faults with this new Milwaukee, it’s an excellent ratchet. Its so good, it actually has me considering whether I want to sell my CTR861.

The snappy guy i met with last week showed up with my order. Added on the plier set since they were on sale. This is all for my nephew who's starting out in the diesel field.

Some classifieds deals I picked up here.

Probably my last William's USA tool order. I don't really need anything else. I may eventually get the rest of the wobble extensions, but we'll see.

1/2" & 3/8" flex
1/4" - 1/2" wobble extensions
Replacement 1/4" socket (lost)

Today I got new pads for my Irwin clamps:
nn6grg.jpg
Have to say I really appreciate these being easily available, though I think they're a bit spendy. I've had these clamps a long time, and hate stuff like this winding up disposable.

The Mayhew Dominator set arrived this morning - shown here with the Craftsman bars they're replacing:
V1aLrK.jpg
I'm keeping the smallest Craftsman in the box as it has been pretty handy in various spots that the new guy might not fit. The other bars are probably going to be donated to Habitat.

The Dominator bars are obviously extremely beefy (and MiUSA at that). The big question: Will they fit in the box without slipping through the holes and without fouling on the lid??
AdHWm4.jpg

Why yes, yes they will... (barely)
The Mayhew bars are awesome!

I forgot about my new pry bar. Mayhew Dominator 25”. Also pictures are my other 2, a 17” Mac, and my trusty ‘ole 30” Craftsman. I do like the Mac green a little more than the Mayhew, but the price was of the Mayhew was hard to beat. Mayhew is US made, another bonus. 8BDD673F-1C0B-4E78-B574-BF7BA2C18690.jpeg7B1A71D1-B624-4E06-96C8-7229CDEF05F7.jpeg3AF24585-83E1-4ADC-84BD-88B82BA50635.jpeg
Could this be a Mayhew beater? Octagonal shaft, Gedore.

Titanium folding utility knife. Aliexpress special. Found this from a thread on here, same as a much more expensive "branded" one sold in North America. Really nice piece, small, light, great action, and carries deep.
Do you have a link to this?

Well I know I already posted but I got my side piece added. I wanted to show it on the box.
Looks great Blake! And a bit familiar as well 😂. Here is mine tucked under my bench. It is just a hair too tall with the casters on it so I had to take them off

Swung by the ACE to use a 10% off coupon. Picked up some impact bits because I killed all my others and I grabbed some wrenches for work. I really like the case for the wrenches. It’s going to open up a ton of drawer space for me. They are shorter wrenches for sure but as a machinist, I’m ok with that. I don’t need the leverage you mechanics typically need.
