Warranty could not have been easier.

I emailed Dave (rep on here) and in 5 minutes he got me the link to send a pic and description of the problem, and by the next morning I had an email with tracking for my new hose.
Problem was with the 1/2" x 3' lead hose. I bought 4 new ones for my new garage (had 3 in my old) and one of them leaked no matter how much I cranked on it. I chewed the **** out of the brass fitting getting it off, but they replaced it no problem.

GREAT warranty service!:rocker:

Here is the link for anyone that needs it for future use...

I've only purchased a couple of their tools but I like them but then again lately I've found myself partial to the HF composite ratchets, lol.

IMO, Tekton has filled the void that Craftsman has left for the heavy DIY to low end pro mechanic. They have the attitude that "it has our name on it, so we're going to take care of it." I really appreciate that they have kept up with the times, and if you send them an email with a picture of the problem you have that they will take care of you.

One of the most powerful memories of my youth is my father tearing into a Chrysler RB engine Friday evening, knowing that he had to have it re-ringed, new bearings, and valves lapped in by Monday morning so that it would get him to work. Pop had a good set of Craftsman tools that he used to work on cars and the rest of the house to keep us safe and warm. I remember that on the Christmas after my 18th birthday I received a set of Craftsman tools that I used to keep me and my wife's cars and apartments working until we got established.

Sadly, Sears has squandered the trust that had been built over the decades. There's no longer a Sears within 75 miles of where I live. Useful tools have been discontinued, with no recourse. Hopefully Stanley B&D can restore some of that trust, but until then, Tekton is my go to source for quality tools, that I can count on.

I've posted this before but this seemed an appropriate place to reiterate it. Bought the 3/8 socket set (50 some odd piece I think) off of Amazon. Upon receiving it, the swivel attachment was missing the detent ball. Emailed Tekton, Dave promptly responded, I sent a pic and the new one was at the house via FedEx 2 days later. Great service from those guys. I've bought several items from them and will do so in the future as the need arises. I know there are B&M stores in the north and mid-west that carry the brand, I wish a retailer in the south would do so. Until then, the selection online is great.

Hahaha you got me to click! Good to know though, I've heard good things on ToolGuyd and other places and have considered getting a 1/2" metric socket set from them.

Wow, your dad sounds like one hell of a mechanic, Tekton became successful when they realized that the difference in their cost between poor quality and soild, reliable tools was not very much. If you don't try and squeeze the last penny of profit out of evry tool, it works out better for all concerned. Combined with great customer service and you have a winner. They source their tools wherever they can get quality at a good price. I never thought about it before but they really are filling the niche vacated by Sears. I'm sorry more stores like HF and TSC only carry them online. I would rather see them on the shelf than the re encarnated SB&D Craftsman. If the new stuff is not a step up from Stanley tools I will not bother with them. I see it as a bid for the business of those people that still value the Craftsman brand name. It just a name with no intrinsic value of it's own. It will be what they make of it. Grizzly bought the venerable South Bend lathe name and now it is on low end Chinese machinery. Those that still buy Craftsman from Sears and Ace will buy it from Lowes. If Stanley does not raise the bar, the people that are looking for the bygone Craftsman will reserve judgemet until they see if Stanley has raised the bar or not.

Bought some Tekton USA made rubber air hoses about a year and a half ago. One of them bubbled near the strain relief after a few months. Sent a picture and got a new one pronto. Couldn't be happier.

I watch videos of a heavy tow truck (50 ton rotator) operator and I think his name is Ron Pratt. When working on semis, he unrolls a nice set of end wrenches. I expected snap on or mac, etc. Nope, Tekton. He doesn't wrench all day, but when he needs to get something done under a big truck, in some bad conditions, that is what he rolls out.

Their hybrid air hose is great. I'll have to try more of their tools down the road. Craftsman was pretty good for a serious hobby/light pro user but some of it was already going down hill in 2000 or so when I started buying my tools. While I can't afford truck brands, I still don't want junk. USA Allen, proto, klein, Milwaukee power tools, and similar brands are built well and serve many pros without having insane prices.

I think you guys may be right about Tekton filling in a gap the Cman seems to have lost. If it can't be USA made, at least make it a quality product that doesn't feel like the same stuff HF sells.

Thanks to this thread I ordered a Tekton 1/4 in low profile polished ratchet, that I do not need. I know need is not a real requirement. It looks like the Craftsman that I have (maybe more than one).

My texton torque wrench just don't "feel right", when I adjust the torque, and when I lock the torque setting.
How would I go about a replacement?
Nothing to really take a picture of.
Start a thread complaining loud and clear about how much you hate your Tekton torque wrench. Tekton has a rep on garage journal sometimes. I have seen someone start a dedicated thread about their junk Tekton torque wrench and Tekton jumped on it like nobody's business.

Tekton's got a winning strategy but they need to do a couple things:
1. Fill in some holes in their product line. (ex: flare/line wrenches and std. length reversible ratchet wrenches)
2. Offer an expedited shipping option at an affordable price. (ex: 2 day at $9.95/order????) This would take a bigger chunk from the tool truck dealers.

Dave with Tekton here.

It’s hard to quantify “feel” when it comes to warranty, but if something isn’t working with it - just contact us at www.tekton.com/tool-help and we can help.

Also, we are releasing a split beam style in the next month or so which will operate a little bit easier for some.

Will fine tooth gear/anvil and pawls from the regular ratchets fit into the head?

I bought both sets of polished wrenches from Amazon and haven't looked back. I am a believer in Tekton tools. Haven't had to use the warranty though.
Dont ever buy Tekton from Amazon. Just create a free account and buy from Tekton.com directly. You get free shipping on everything, 10% back on everything you buy, and on large orders over $100 you can get free conversion charts and other random stuff. Also their website is honestly the best in the biz. Simple and informative. Whoever they have working on web design there is really doing a bang up job! The only thing I find interesting is that they dont have a section for reviews.

Just to add to the praise of their CS... They have hands down the best customer service in the tools industry IMO. If you send them an email, they usually get back within 30mins to an hour. Its always super polite and they will get replacements sent out that same day. Awesome company.

I'll check it out a little better and see if I can define it better when I get to the other side of the suspension.

I just brought the stubby screwdriver that I didn't need because it looked nicely made. I'll keep it up here in the kitchen it might come in handy.

Just to pile on about their wildly good customer service:

My 1/2” 250# torque wrench started skipping over 150#, so I sent a request on their site a little after 8:00pm and got a reply email 10 minutes later that it was taken care of and replacement was on the way. They sent a FedEx tracking number the next morning and it was already en route.

Already planning to buy more from them solely based on this experience.
