I got the same email. No biggie. The knee pads would occupy precious space or else be given away. I hate knee pads. But the offer of the Shockwave set and a pair of gloves suits me better than some stupid knee pads anyway.

We'll see if it's legit.

Scam! HAHAHAAHA

They owe you nothing, not even a email

Freeloaders who whine and complain about promotional freebies are the absolute WORST

I bet half the losers who submitted (not us GJ types of course) dont even need a pair of knee pads,
they just see something is free and jump on the wagon.

And now poor Milwaukee has to give [email protected] a promotional hat of a company theyve never
even supported.

I did the same. I don't believe it's a scam. Just Milwaukee admitting an error (**** happens), and trying to make good on the mistake.

Round 2. Maybe I'm a sucker for punishment. They sent me another email and link for another free item and explained the last one was supposed to be "while supplies last" but got overwhelmed with interest. We'll see what happens this time.

I chose face masks and gloves.

Boy Milwaukee is really on top of this one....

After the first alternate option email I decided there really wasn't anything I needed or wanted so I declined.

They just sent me another. Fine, I grabbed some gloves and a hardhat.

Anyone want a hardhat?

Today received an email saying my alternate choice has been shipped. If it's a scam, why/who would go to all this trouble?

Got the same email. Some people on reddit have already gotten their stuff. I really don't think it was a scam. I think it was something that was probably meant to go out to select people. But of course it went very public and they got slammed with probably 100x the requests they expected to get. I think it's great the Milwaukee is honoring it by giving us something. They could have just said sorry we ran out of product so your not getting anything.

Alternative gift of t-shirt and hat arrived yesterday. TALL rigid front of hat, wife thinks it makes me look like a redneck, teen daughters thinks that it makes me look like a thug. . . All I need is wife-beater shirt to go with it.

Received my package from Milwaukee yesterday. They are a stand up company, IMHO. No matter what went down with the original offer, they stood up and owned it. Huge thanks to Milwaukee!!!

I got the hat, shirt and sticker combo. Hat is horrible, so going to give it to a guy at work.

Regardless, great of them to honor a promo and still come through with something vs nothing :)

You got knee pads or alternative gift?
Alternative. The knee pad thing fell through so I got a pair of gloves, some masks and a Shockwave kit. I'll actually use those items more than knee pads so I'm cool with it and I'm really not a consumer of Milwaukee tools since the 80's when they sent their power tool production overseas.

I'm guessing you use no cordless tools if Made in the USA is a requirement?

I buy Made in the USA as much as possible, but I wouldn't have any cordless tools, or anything electronic, if I was a diehard about it.

That was in the 80's. I switched allegiance to Porter-Cable because they still manufactured here. We all know where this all goes.

I'm talking mid 80's here. Yes...... At the time I made that decision it was based on Milwaukee moving big parts of their production overseas. Yes....I'm 100% aware that PC wasn't so very far behind them. But Milwaukee went before PC in the tools I was buying at the time. No.....I didn't make a tool by tool timeline and memorize it to discuss 30 years later on an internet forum.

I got the hardhat and gloves. I currently wear their full brim hardhat and 600 lumens light daily. The new hat may be a lighter option. The gloves look stout, like something I'd use when changing a tire or such. I don't think its a glove I could wear daily and have the dexterity with screws and such. I'm happy they offered an alternative, trying to make it right.
