Hey I'm new here and just wanted to post a quick picture of my garage. This is my first house I bought back in April and I'm very excited to finally have a place to park and work on the Mustang inside rather than in an apartment parking lot. Here are a couple of quick pics.

Congrats on the new house. That garage looks like a great space to work on the Mustang, which looks nice also.

Thanks! I love having a garage space. So far in this garage I've already changed the valve cover gaskets, front and rear brakes, and tomorrow will do some interior work. Going to do gears soon, but that will be done at my boss' garage with a lift.

Yep great to have space to work in. It has been pouring rain here most of the day and I have been perfectly dry and comfortable in the shop. I don't miss the old driveway thing.

Welcome to the garage world.....

May I suggest some paint on those walls? Exterior gloss or semi-gloss...(easier to keep clean)

Reason being....I think you will find that you will be a lot more organized when it looks good....plain walls like that and you tend to just pile stuff up.

You are hereby now required to post another pic in 6 months.....because we ALL know that your garage will be full of stuff....not your fault....it just happens.....

Look at is Jack Olson's garage (do a search). His garage is about as small as yours but he has maximized the space. As you start collecting stuff your garage will fill up....

Once again, welcome...

Thanks for the tip. I'll look around. I'm going to try to keep my garage very organized and the junk to a minimum. I've got a storage building out back for all of that stuff haha.

EDIT: Just looked up that garage and wow what a great use of space. I'll have to wait until I fix the oil leak in the Mustang before putting down nice tile like that though.

Thanks for the compliment. And congratulations on the new house.

(My 911 has left a lot of oil on that tile, and it wipes right up. It doesn't absorb the stuff like the concrete used to.)

Thanks! I'm going to keep an eye out for cabinets like yours. Good to know the tiles don't absorb oil.

nice spot, and junk free too, not a lot can say that, I know I can't

Thanks!

What year Mustang? What motor in it? LOOKS NICE

It's an '89 with the stock 5.0L 302 in it. After I get a truck I will most likely drop in a new motor. I've already replaced the rear main seal, valve cover gaskets and other miscellaneous parts, but there is still one small leak I can't stop.

Here's an update for my garage. Yesterday my friends Dad was cleaning out his shop and gave me this Craftsman workbench for free. I went over there to pick it up and was expecting something made out of 2x4 wood so it was a nice surprise.

Re-arranged some things so I thought I'd post pics of that as well. Ignore the mess. I'm re-doing the interior of an old GT convertible so the garage is a mess.

I was surprised that I still have plenty of room to park my coupe in there.

Nice clean garage! I wish mine was that clean..but it's getting there. Yours looks to be about the same size as mine...about 22 x 22?

Congrats and welcome! (from another semi-newbie)
