Replaced the transmission on my Traxxas Nitro Rustler. I ordered parts a long time ago to work on this. I originally ordered new planetary gears but decided instead of cracking open ****** I'd just replace it.

Finished doing that and discovered the battery in my glow plug driver is dead. Guess I'll get to see if this fixes my issue tomorrow.

I put a new front differential in my E revo 2.0 and new shocks on my sons vxl rustler this weekend. Then we broke the cars while jumping them lol

My son is getting an Electric Rustler for Christmas. My daughter drives an older Stampede 2wd. I need to get the nitro rustler running or I'll be having to sit there watching them drive.

We do have an RC18G 4wd stadium truck. I could drive it, but it doesn't go through grass very well. It was the truck my son was driving.

Put the front axle together for my 154 Lo Boy. I straightened a bent spindle this weekend and replaced the spindle bushings last week. Checked and adjusted the toe in, fixed a broken zerk and greased the whole tractor. Took it out for a test- so much better.

And this evening I got some woodworking done on the aquarium stand.

Got one of the side panels glued up. Discovered I miss-measured what width I needed the panel at so there's a tiny gap running along the edge of the rabbit that the panel is sitting in on the frame.

Oh well. We'll stick this on the side opposite the doorway into the room the tank is going in.

I picked up this side hanger Mac toolbox for $40 recently. It sat on a dirt floor in a barn for 30 years. The bottom was pretty rough, but otherwise solid, so I decided to save it. I have the full box with a matching side hanger already on it, so it was a nice find for $40.

How many left to go?
LOL, possibly one 68 Bug Conv chassis that is restored and has title.
Another project car on the lift (63 VW Type3 Notchbach) but in all honesty it wouldn't break my heart to trade that for space and cash.
And a diesel E350 box truck can go away tomorrow without a tear, but at least that one isn't an inside space hog.

This year a 75 Bus camper, 62 Bug rolling body and chassis, 63 Gray Bug that was mostly complete and a rusty 65 Karmann Ghia Conv ALL went away.

Keepers: My 68 Bus in the above pic would be the absolute last to go if it ever came to that. I have 2 more running and driving that are keepers too... 83 Jetta Wolfsburg 2dr and 81 Rabbit with 1.6L turbo diesel that is the daily beater.

Not going to get into the motorcycles... they don't take much room.

It's been a busy couple of weeks, really. Got myself in gear again to get this garage worked out. Today, I finally hung up a couple new LED shop lights, and I have a working sink again. About a 1/3 of the garage is fully painted now. Going to spend some time now organizing and putting **** away, and then pile on more work to get everything done, especially yanking out these dumb fluorescent 8ft buzzards. Coming out nicely.

What color is that, and what are your thoughts on the car?
the color is Dark Gray Metallic [Gray], The car has been great. very tight suspension and steering. i owned the 2009 sti and this new one drives WAY better. corners nicer. all round more comfortable.

To be honest i wanted nothing to do with this body style. then it grew on me after awhile and then i test drove it. after that i was in love

I got a 5-gallon bucket nearly full of used ProPex and stainless fittings for free, they had been left in that bucket outside in the rain for quite some time apparently. Guy said over a year for sure. A bit of time with a brass wire wheel and then some Brasso, they are cleaning up nicely although I tossed 2 due to bad nicks on the compression ridge. I can't wait to do the stainless fittings. This will keep me busy for a full day for sure. 1" fitting in the image.

Here is Mister Two getting his pipes sucked dry:

Later he had air conditioning for the first time since the compressor blew up in 1998! AC repair and automatic transmissions are the only two areas of auto repair I have never tackled until now. Not sure I want to dig into an automatic trans, but at least I knocked one thing off the list! Replaced every component except the hard lines - which got flushed. I bought the tools to do all of this, as I also want to revive the AC on my '65 Cadillac and the investment in the tools will likely be less than the cost to pay someone else to do the work. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it! My wife did observe once that the car hobby is nothing but an excuse to buy tools. I thought about that for a minute, but had no good argument.....

Getting more than two nittro cars running at the same time was a challenge back in the day, lol.
I use to have a little track at work and my buddies would come out, we usually had 4-5 cars, I don't think we ever had all of them running on the track at once.
Electric is sooo much easier now days.

Nice to catch up on this thread.

Saturday was productive. Made small platforms for our inflatable minions that spend the season on our porch. Then I ran recyclables and some leaves down to our town eco-center.

Then I put my Christmas presents on my 77 z. I needed some street wheels to save my autocross tires.

Then Sunday I promptly got knocked on my *** by a stomach bug. I'm still not right, ugh.

It is, but I don't think the wife would let me get another truck at this point. For now I need to try to keep the nitro running.

If I ever get a front loader, I want to setup a track in the back of our property. I think dodging the septic sprayers would add an interesting level of difficulty :)

I would have a hard time letting go of the '63 Notch. I'm a Type III fan and I love the body style. I was born in '63, so it's a great year as far as I'm concerned.

I'm happy that you are keeping the Jetta. The A1 body Jetta is one of my all time favorite cars. I have an '84 Jetta GLI that's in need of restoration.

Made my first, and last, custom acrylic dash. I knew I was going to have a lot of time into it, but basically worked for pennies. This one will be a down payment on a CNC to make them moving forward, if anyone else asks. LOL...

I stopped off, this morning, at Wholesale tool. I bought the 4 boxes of Socket Pro that were out.

Anyways, I rearranged my metric socket drawer. I am well aware that it is the wrong color.

I have had the really dirty black Socket Pro, next to the new red stuff, since the 90’s. I have always found it to be very dense storage.

I, weirdly, never thought to look for more.

I used the leftovers for my cart.

No pics, but I replaced the motor mounts and the driver's side valve cover gasket on my wife's car ('98 E320). Washed the oil off the outside of the engine and changed the oil and filter. Tomorrow I have to put the hush panel back on the underside (left it off to let the all the washed off oil drip), then take it to get it washed.
