Put that socket on your normal torque wrench and it’ll be able to accept the GW pass through sockets.I don't get it. Why is it going to work?
Thanks. Read the review. Looks like this is exactly what I need. The fat end of the adapter must have grooves to engage pass thru sockets. Wonderful.Put that socket on your normal torque wrench and it’ll be able to accept the GW pass through sockets.
If it still doesn’t make sense, try reading the reviews in the Amazon listing.
Yes, it does add some length and is no longer (at all) low profile, but it works.Thanks. Read the review. Looks like this is exactly what I need. The fat end of the adapter must have grooves to engage pass thru sockets. Wonderful.
I think both your suggestion and Ingram306's are good. This adapter will add quite a bit of height to the setup, negating the major benefit of pass thru sockets. Ingram306's adapter saves space, but might not be used in certain places.
Unless I'm mistaken, I don't think Ingram306's adapter will work. GW pass thru sockets have that proprietary drive design which can't be used with regular 6pt or 12pt sockets or wrenches. If a person owns a hex drive pass through socket set (HF, Bostitch, and others), Ingram306's adapter would work.Thanks. Read the review. Looks like this is exactly what I need. I don’t think those exist, unfortunately. That is great. Do you have the part number for 1/4 and 1/2 adapters?

What is this? Do you have a link?Dog bone/ torque adapters
Others pointed out that tool is 12 point. Not compatible with spline drive that GearWrench uses. If you can find something similar but with a spline drive, that will be truly helpful. Its what ingram306 published. I used them all the time on helicopters.
That's great. I found them. They are called
I have all the tools you mentioned. I just want to understand how to use my tools in various scenarios. Have received a lot of really helpful ideas. Thanks for all the advice!you guys are trying to reason with someone who wants to use pass through sockets as their only sets. you won't be able to reason with him.
rather than use standard 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 and then add deeps, extensions, flex, long standard and compact ratchets that can also be used with torque wrenches he wants to be different
just like the guys that think the best all around choice is a ratcheting wrench vs a standard combo wrench.
use normal wrenches and sockets as your main line tools. then adding pass through sockets ratcheting wrenches and other styles make sense.
