My supervisor took me out to Seneca after we got off work this morning and we got one each. I think the way clearance works at lowes now is you have to go get it from the store, can't even do online order for pickup.

Yeah, I worked for them and ran the tool department for a while. Periodically you would work your markdown report to clean up errors. I moved to a new department and the guy that replaced me would never work his reports so I would print and review them myself. Once most items get to a count of 1 in the system it is no longer going to show online because it holds one back for a display. When that happens you just wait for the price to fall and boom. Had a $800 kobalt chest drop to $105 so I had my boss ring it up for me. Then I walked over to the guy in tools and said to drop it out of topstock because someone just bought it for $100 (employee discount and add tax). Guy was like well that guy was lucky. I replied yes I am!
Might be an updated version. They often have slight changes which will be a new item number and then trigger the old item number to be discontinued. 12 is alot to have of one saw and way too many to be zeroed out by an associate. It would take the department associate to mark it as a "no" on their downstocking report, then a manager to verify it. Then the next day anything totalling over $100 has to be reviewed by another manager on a different report. Then those reports are reviewed by asset protection.

Yeah, the association we had changing prices always wanted to play Santa and throw the stuff on her cart to pass out to the other associates she liked but she pretty much stuck to the stuff on the shelf unless it was a smoking deal then she would enlist help to try and track it down. I would beat her to alot of things to pass on to the ones she snubbed. The biggest pain when I ran tools is associates would stash stuff to try and wait for it to drop again. If the count got low enough I would zero it out just so it would go back up then the item would mysteriously show up or they would cry that it went up. I told them don't hide **** then.
yup it was a part of the back to school seasonal sale. I guess this store never took it down and set it up because it was the whole box with the price placard inside and said to be put in moving supplies aisle when over
