Four flat rate box's arrived to day. Lets see what America brings to the Teken house hold on this beautiful day! :spit:

Looks to be sixteen 1/2" drive, 12 point SAE sockets . . . This is the third set so it will be sold shortly in the next few weeks! :)
DSCN6023.jpg

A whole set of SAE 12 point open ended wrench's
DSCN6026.jpg

Ran out of counter space, so had to move some of the random tools onto the table . . . Hrmmmm, I have no clue why there are C-Man tools here but someone on GJ will get a great deal on them as they are not one of my favorite tools to be honest. Please keep a look out for these C-Man tools, I think I might keep this little magnetic torpedo level though it looks pretty sturdy, don't know why he through it in, but its all good!
DSCN6031.jpg

I am in the middle of taken photo for insurance purposes, so here is some of the wrenches and odd things that came over the last few months . . .
DSCN6035.jpg

Some random box arrived with a whole lot of clamps . . . :headscrat

Some socket goodness . . .

Where are the clamps made? Some of them seem to have the Grip-On style release, I'm intrigued

Came home today expecting a door knocker from the post man, but nope! :(

DSCN6043.jpg

As I was about to take a walk to the mail box, guess who comes riding up? :headscrat The UPS man . . . :shocking:
DSCN6044.jpg

What we have here is a 7 piece X-Beam Metric set . . . The only down side based on the little note attached from my friend is that this set is not complete, and the remainder will come in the future, no ETA! :wtf: :(
DSCN6049.jpg

But you know what? Beggers can't be choosers! :lol_hitti

Until next week enjoy the eye candy, have a great week-end, and kick back a few cold one's for some of us still on duty!

Six items all arrived the other day from my home land . . . The one item which is still *indeterminent* has yet to be cleared, or have its status changed! :(
DSCN6053.jpg

This morning this parcel arrived in not so good of a shape . . . With all the threads about USPS employee's taking liberties with customers parcels maybe it was time and I was due for a taste of what can happen!

DSCN6068.jpg

As you can clearly see someone attempted to open this nicely sealed flat rate box from the side! Given the fact my guy taped all the ends shut and not counting simply on the sticky tape etc to hold it all in . . .

What this MOFO didn't know is that my guy taped all the tools inside into one big bunch so as it could not be easily stolen piece by piece! :bounce:

My guy has had several incidents of this happening to him, and he stated if it looked odd to receive things so tapped up, he wouldn't do it, but in his experience it reduces the petty theft of one's and two's items not making it across the country!

So, I will have to send off a little present to my friend and letting him know his efforts have truly paid off!   :bounce:
DSCN6070.jpg

So, what was it this opportunist could have walked off with you may ask? :headscrat Well we certainly have a few nice Armstrong bags here, lets get them unwrapped and laid out for GJ members. :)

DSCN6054.jpg

A mini set of punch pins, center punches, cold chisel, taper punch, drive punch, etc . . .
DSCN6067.jpg

DSCN6066.jpg

DSCN6064.jpg

DSCN6063.jpg

This will complete my Armstrong set to a total of 75 various punches, chisels, no where near to some of the GJ members such as Garfunkel etc. But, I will definitely have something to make things work in the interim! :lol_hitti
DSCN6062.jpg

More tools on the way, as this camera has seriously taken a dump . . . :(

Got another camera lets see if this one works for awhile. What we have here is a set of Armstrong Torque wrenches . . . This will complete the 7 in the set, and the rest will need to find a new home soon!
DSCN6071-1.jpg

Just a head shot . . .
DSCN6072.jpg

Lots of Armstrong bags here, with some very expensive chrome inside . . .
DSCN6074.jpg

Here is a set of SAE gear wrenches some of them will be looking for a new home. The others have been spoken for, and the other set is being set aside for my friends son who lost his father in Iraq . . . :(
DSCN6075.jpg

DSCN6078.jpg

DSCN6079.jpg

Couple more bags to open later on but the battery has taken a **** and it seems this will be the last picture for now . . . :(

Nice stuff! Man I don't even want to being to imagine what the last set of pics cost. I am glad to see no one was able to "lose" your chisels and punches. You definitely have better luck than myself. My luck is so bad, even when I get my packages they are wrong items or defective.

So when do you order the Armstrong tool chest to keep it all in? lol

Like I told you before when all the stuff is all in, I will help you out for some items at a reasonable price . . . As for the items almost taken, I filed a formal complaint with the Post Master to let them know what happend . . .

The box has some finger prints and blood, so I sent that picture to the man too!

Armstrong Box? What makes you think I don't have a Armstrong box not on order? :shocking: :bounce: :lol_hitti

Not having any luck this week with my parcel arriving intacted! As you can clearly see my guy used duct tape on this parcel along with 3M clear high strength tape . . .

You can see someone cut open the package to get into the parcel . . . This was not caused by a blow out, or the item shifting causing it to rip the tape and all the seams have been cut with a knife! There is no inspector call tag noted from customs so they did not try to open the parcel and this would be noted on the receipt also there would be a seal from them showing that they open and inspected the parcel. . .
DSCN6090.jpg

Lucky for me my guy taped shut both of these cases what looks like 10X with Gorilla tape to make sure no one got in, and no tools fell out during its travels from the USA to its final destination . . . :) So what's inside of these two very large storage box's? :headscrat
DSCN6088.jpg

One massive complete 1/2" drive Eliminator SAE / METRIC set . . .
DSCN6083.jpg

DSCN6086.jpg

DSCN6085.jpg

This is a back up set which is being sent out to my partner in crime in the ocean working on some huge aszz oil rig! He has been hit by some personal tragedy with his wife leaving him (because he is a provider) and he is never home to cuddle etc? :wtf: Stupid *****! The mans in the freaking ocean working to make a living to provide your sorry aszz the comforts you are accustomed too! God, I hate woman sometimes!
DSCN6087.jpg

Anyways, this set is flying out to him on the next mail run just to make his work life easier and to let him know someone really cares and appreciates all that he does for family and friends!  :)

That was no knife cut, that my friend was a razor blade box cutter. But if you say something to USPS about it, it never happened, someone did that while it was on your door step. lol

Anyway sweet sets, and hard to find ones too. I see SAE sets but rarely metric and rarely 1/2" drive sets. I'm glad the sticky fingered postal workers didn't end up with them.

Yeah my posty brought it out of the truck and noted it on the digital tracker thing in the comments section about tampering. So, I have his backing about it being messed with prior to its final destination . . .

Lets see what tomorrow brings in terms of Armstrong goodness!

Those tools look real nice. I like the gearwrench's.

I was really close in dropping the hammer and picking up the GearWrench set. But I couldn't do it since all my tools are Armstrong and I had a lead on a few good deals . . .

It all worked out, but maybe in the future I just might pick one up to play with as they are packaged very well with many accessories for a value price . . .

Well, we know it's coming from the US. If anyone has a reader maybe they can determine origin (at least city or post code) from that UPC-like shipping label on the box he posted. :dunno:

If he is getting it wholesale, I would've loved to have known where. Especially if there was a limited supply of it. Buy it all out. Would serve him right for rubbing our faces in it. :lol2:

Hm...USPS Priority Mail box with a Canadian Post XPRESSPOST label?

Is it possible to use a USPS Priority mail box from Canada?

The plot thickens....

I just don't get what the **** the deal is with all of the smoke and mirrors... unless there's something illegal going on here.

edit: I'm not accusing Teken of anything personally... but how would it hurt to explain how these are going for a fraction of cost?

From what I know, once a package with a USPS label hits Canada, it gets handed over to Canada post.

I don't think anything nefarious is going on. He just wants to rub it in. If I had the resources, (and if I knew for sure he'd found these things on-line), I'd hire 1,000 guys from India to scour the web to expose his source. :bounce:

But obviously, that bar code I posted has something to do with it, or he wouldn't have deleted that photo. :dunno:

So it's coming from the US (possibly New Mexico) to him in Canada :dunno:

A liquidator, perhaps?

Some of the Armstrong he's posted look like the recent stuff, because I had to pick up some stuff recently that had the same look. So it's probably not a prev. generation of stuff Armstrong or a distributor is trying to get rid of to make way for new stuff.

I wonder if it's US Military stuff that was an over-run? Or more likely, a bankrupt distributor that's selling off it's stock?

Perhaps an e-mail to Armstrong would enlighten us?

Yeah, but what I'm saying is... if he's done buying now, and there isn't anything fishy going on, what would be the point of hiding the source other than to be a ****?

Personally I don't give a ****, because I'm not a big Armstrong fan myself, but I just can't help but wonder...

That's most likely, but still, as I said, I have to wonder why all the smoke and mirrors...

I am fairly sure that some of the ratchets are old stock.

Reason? I'd say human nature: "I got it, and you don't." Also, seeking attention. (Which he got!)

As for ratchets: don't have any, so I don't know about them. But I'm a fan of their pliers, combo wrenches, and sockets. Hex sockets, I got a bunk set, but got that sorted out.

edit: no need to be holier-than-thou. I've posted a teaser thread or two in my day as well... I just never dragged any out this long.

I guess everyone has different ways to get their kicks.

I don't know what all of the excitement is about. The 60 tooth ratchets and knurled extensions are cool but, all of the other chrome and impact tools are the same as the Craftsman pro line and regular chrome sockets (except for some size availability) down to that double stake in the female square drive. Ok, the Armstrong might be finished a little better but, I can't see foaming at the mouth over them.:headscrat I am happy that he's happy with his purchases and encourage him to watch the TV show Hoarders.:beer:

What do we have in ways of tools this week? Armstrong metric 12 point off set wrench set from 10-24 mm, this will complete the outstanding set of SAE / Metric off sets in my tool box . . .
DSCN6094.jpg

DSCN6095.jpg

A NAPA branded used 1/2" drive ratchet, looks a lot like a old school Craftman to me? :headscrat She will be looking for a new home next week . . .
DSCN6096.jpg

Another NAPA 3/8" drive flex head ratchet, very similar to the Matco style branded one. This one is used, and will be looking for a new home as well.
DSCN6099.jpg

A used New Britain NS-56 1/2" drive breaker bar . . . She is a beauty almost like new minus one very small ding on the handle . . . I am going to play with her on this weeks project car, and once she has been used, she will be sent out on the street like a cheap ****** for sale! :lol_hitti
DSCN6098.jpg

Brand new Proto 3/8" breaker bar I think she is a keeper as it feels and looks a lot like the Armstrong one's I have from the past . . .
DSCN6097.jpg

I don't know why this is in the box? :headscrat But, hey I like the compound action this thing gives, so maybe I will keep it . . . One of the guys here is a GearWrench fan so maybe this will go his way . . .
DSCN6100.jpg

Snap-On 1/2" drive SX-936 locking flex ratchet . . . This one is in fantastic shape for being used . . . I already have two new one's so this guy will be off to the classifieds soon!

All those Snap-On whores will be chomping on the bits soon, geeeeeese! :lol_hitti

So your giant sale will be next week?

Actually, today I am taking picture right now and will be listing them up in the next 10 minutes . . . I won't be able to list all the tools today as some of them are at work, and the rest are at a friends house who wanted a chance to see them first before making a decision . . .

Kind of went a little crazy last week . . . :bounce: I don't think the posty appreciated handing over 17 box's to me! :spit:

The search for the ultimate Armstrong Eliminator thru hole socket set looks to be finally completed.

It has taken about four months to find a local and private seller willing to sell their collection to me. :)

DSCN6410.jpg

Anyone not familiar with these sets should know it is very hard to locate full sets in both SAE / Metric in one tool case. If you find one that brand new and intact, buy it!
DSCN6401.jpg

This 3/8, 1/2, metric drive Armstrong Eliminator set is one of those Ghost sets that only come to light once in a blue moon. :spit:

Now I have it . . . :bounce:
DSCN6402.jpg

Again to find a full SAE / Metric Armstrong Eliminator set in this configuration is far and few.

Found . . .
DSCN6403.jpg

Below are a set of 8 piece Armstrong reversible SAE gear wrenches. I only posted the first four sets as the other six sets were still in the box. Pretty sure I don't need 10 sets of SAE gear wrenches, so they are going to be sold.

DSCN6406.jpg

Some of you may recall me posting this up. But, just in case you havent seen it here is a one of my pride and joys. A Armstrong 5/8 bolt cutter can you tell she is over 45 years old? :headscrat :spit:

I used her several times last week to cut a few bolts and chains at work. Cut them like a hot knife going threw buttaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

DSCN6333-1.jpg

Still have another 46 pictures to load but this should do for today. Sorry for the poor lighting of the pictures. I am in the middle of a reno and the windows are covered and this battery is failing.

But I am sure you all get the picture! :lol_hitti

Most excellent acquisition . . . It's very hard to find one in your version with the air ratchet and extensions.

I picked one up like yours but with both air ratchet and extensions . . . You will enjoy them as much as I have thus far . . .
