I have a question that I can’t seem to find a answer from anyone including a couple groups on Facebook, which one was dedicated to old winches if it even is one.

I picked up this air lift today to work on my truck which is from 1959 shown in the ad for it, and I also picked up a winch or hoist of some type that I can’t find anything about online. It is heavy duty and comes in its own wooden case along with the control and electrical wiring plus two handles to turn the gears. There is no manufacture, so I was hoping one of you could possibly help. $25 Amazon Gift Card if anyone comes up with a verifiable answer if that is allowed or else please remove it

Bay Lift. At least that's what we called them. The were actually designed to roll under the rear of a car or truck and the arms would cradle the rear axle. Pretty handy in the day, although they take up a lot of room. Don't know about the other items. My puter would not load them.

I know what the red airlift is already with the Ad from eBay. I am talking about the stuff in the yellow crate.

The yellow things are winches for a body shop to pull automotive frames back straight. But I am always wrong

It's the majority of the "head" to a double drum overhead crane aka redundant hoist.

The wooden crate has the word Winch and US stenciled on it, and the controller has the words up and down imprinted next to the buttons. I was thinking it could possibly be some military equipment or something. It also has a 110 volt type plug attached to it, but it works better on 220 volts based upon a winch repair shop that initially took a look at it. However, they could not identify how it would be used. Have you seen one being used in a body shop prior for pulling frames?

It actually locks at different heights similar to a typical car lift. I have used it to help repair my RV and other stuff, and it is built extremely well, but I have also used Jack Stands as a secondary precaution.

I worked at an independent transmission shop in the 70’s and did R&I outdoors under one of those. I had to shovel snow off the pitched driveway before I started. The guy was the best in our area and I did what I had to to learn from him.

Found one of those lifts at my dads property recently. It works well, heavy as hell, not something I’d use on a modern day car though.
