The truck doesn't need $10K in repairs - just a window and some door hinge pin bushings. Otherwise it's just fine except for that crunched side panel on the passenger side. $100 bucks for the parts, and a buddy of mine said he can put them in.

Just got these off Amazon, was going to get the channel lock screwdriver set but it jumped 10$ in price, wtf.

Here is a new to me tool. Got it out of a repo at work. Person never came to get the stuff in the allowed time so it’s now ours and they allow us to keep anything we find in a used car so this is what I kept. Only tool I found.

Did the root beer & crackers come with it too? Lol/ I love the peanut butter crackers.

Over the last year or so I bought a lot of Tool Grid from JBTools. They had the best selection and price by far. But it is not showing up in a search now. Hope they get it back in stock. It is great for screwdrivers too.

We got so much **** from everyone for going so far on something like that. Next project has to be something cool, I’m leaning towards a rcsb with a small drop, some suspension upgrades, and some power upgrades.

Two years ago I was all Milwaukee. I saw some tools on other platforms that I wanted to try, so I bought into MAC (and soon after DeWalt, since they run off the same batteries), Snap-on, and even Kobalt. Today I came back home to Milwaukee. I paid $304 for everything in this picture:



I hated the first M12 Fuel ratchet I bought. It was big, slow, heavy, and the switch was a pain in the *** to use, especially wearing gloves. Milwaukee fixed all that with these high speed ratchets. I already have the 1/4” high speed ratchet, and for $127 I couldn’t pass up adding the 3/8” to the arsenal.

I’ve also found myself wishing my MAC 12V impact wrench had a bit more power - it can’t quite do brake jobs in the Northeast, I always have to break out my M18 mid-torque to get the caliper bolts off. I’ve been waiting for MAC to upgrade their super-old (and weak) 12V 3/8” impact wrench, and nothing. Then last week my MAC dealer tells me can’t even order MAC batteries anymore, all they will send him is DeWalt - not a good sign for the platform. It makes sense, they haven’t released anything new on their 12V platform for almost 2 years, while DeWalt keeps expanding their 12V Xtreme lineup. Got tired of fooling myself and went back to Milwaukee for my impact tools.

I've long had a Harbor Freight 1/4" roto ratchet that I liked but never loved. It's been extremely useful but I hated the handle on it. So I decided to buy a hard handled Tekton #1 Phillips screwdriver and put that handle on the ratchet. I really like how it turned out!

It wasn't too challenging and was definitely not a mess, but it did smoke a bit and make my shop reek of burning nylon for a while! The way I did it was to clamp the tip of the screwdriver in a vise with the handle coming out laterally so I could really pull on it. I then took a MAP gas torch and heated the screwdriver shaft red hot about 3/4" away from the handle. I held it at approximately that heat for a few minutes so the heat could travel down the shaft into the handle and melt the nylon. Once I had enough heat in it I let the shaft cool to black (so it was not so flexible) and I pulled on the handle really hard. After about 10 seconds of pulling and wiggling and bending it back and forth the handle popped free. Then I just drilled the handle out so I could press in the ratchet.

Just got done doing breaks on one side. That little ratchet works pretty good. It will really come in handy when I have to do the others with all the lines in the way.

Sold my old sockets and wrenches and replaced them with Tekton master sets. Also invested in a tool grid system, currently playing with the organization in my kitchen, still need to put all the screws in and move it to the tool box.

Talk about all or nothing commitment in the name of tool OCD conformity! That looks like a nice setup, but seems incompatible with my Amazon warehouse addiction couple with random tool brand buying.

Grabbed this snap on F80 3/8” ratchet, and a Stanley and craftsman 1/4” ratchet, all for $40 on marketplace.

Didn’t really need them, but also grabbed these husky extensions for at Home Depot for $2 and change. Couldn’t pass them up at that price.

I’m gonna try out the two different Teton screwdrivers. I can tell you just by holding the high torque grip that I don’t like the feel, too big and bulky. Also got this conversation magnet.

Cleaned out one Advance Auto so far. $176 took all of this. TEQ is being replaced by Diehard tools so we were out riding around and seen an Advance we had never been in before. The nice workers inside let us come behind the counter and get what we wanted as all tools are behind the counter. I was like a kid in a candy store. The 3/4 ratchet was $12.99 and the breaker bar $16.99. The 1/2 ratchet I can’t remember I think it was $10 something. My mom said I’m crazy for spending that much but I’m a happy boy and that’s what counts. To be fair I can use most of this stuff especially the torx bits. My Capri master set doesn’t have a T30 3/8 drive or a T15 3/8 either and doesn’t have a T47 or T70 at all. I have all them at home besides the T70 but I use them all at home too working on stuff and I got the extra T70 to keep in the cart as a Subaru tech it should be in your cart. All this stuff is just rebranded Gearwrench so I’m not worried and it feels good quality too. The ratchets and breaker bar is Taiwan made along with both Gearwrench sockets as well. And I know for a fact I can use the stubby ratcheting wrenches. It’s a shame they don’t include a 17mm stubby though. But anyway I’m happy and most of this will go to work. Now we are going to another store location and see what they have the next one we are going too has all the tools out in the isle so hopefully I can find goodies there too.

I guess it´s not a precision instrument. But mine is accurate enough i think. ......the only problem is how to convert the reading to millimeter

Have you modified the gauge in anyway? After I wrote that reply, I was thinking whether it was intentional. If the bottom of the groove tends to have a curve, maybe it shouldn't measure 0 on a flat surface?

Any of the TEQ Correct PRO is Apex sourced Chinese Gearwrench. The regular TEQ stuff isn't though.

Thank you. Have a few more things to post later. Went to the other one and they didn’t have hardly anything on sale as they said the tools would not disappear completely until like June so they weren’t discounting anything hardly. So glad I went ahead and got the stuff at the other one.

Wow, I had no idea "socket to wrench adapters" were a thing. I'm going to have to get myself some to have, I have a very specific use coming up that these may be just the ticket for!

Now I need a set of those wrench to socket adapters, New set of Maximum impact rated bolt removers that I grabbed on sale Saturday while looking for an additional three feet of heater coil for some frozen pipes. and today I grabbed a couple of craftsman sockets to fill in some slots on the Hansen trays (Yes I have a ways to go). As mentioned above, made in Taiwan, which I was also surprised to see. My other c-man set is China made.

Two pack of Apex U-Guard R#2 bits and a Kobalt inflator on sale also found their way into my basket today.

And a few honourable mentions from the past few weeks include Tekton 3/8" 10-80ft/lb torque wrench and Motive Power Bleeder, Maximum wheel protecting lug sockets, new auto darkening welding helmet, some misc welding rod, PC 6Gal compressor and brad nailer... So much for downsizing before we move...
