Every time I use wire crimpers I get this pinching feeling on the side of my hip. Drives me nuts. I even got the good Klein brand that are easy to use after years of just using vise grips to crimp.

Any type of straining usually causes a burning sensation on the side of the hip.

You mean it could be as simple as a back adjustment?
Could be, or legs/hip adjustment. If a regular doc (MD/DO) can't fix it or find any underlying disease causing it, I'd definitely try some adjustments by a DC.

My family doc is a DO, so he does adjust. I had neck pain, and he adjusted me during last visit and it took the pain away.

I had groin pain fixed years ago with a back adjustment. This is in a different spot this time. I've gone to the joint a couple times, but they don't know what they're doing.

Chiropractors are insane. Go to a real doctor. An ortho
Yep, of course, go to regular doctors as I said, and get a referral to an ortho if regular doc can't do anything. I just said if they can't/won't do anything, then maybe try an adjustment from a DC.

Ruling out underlying diseases would be job #1.

Almost a year ago I was in a motorcycle accident. I have been dealing with pain in my left arm since. I just spent $900, my share after insurance, at a neurologist to have him tel me everything is ok, give it time, it will get better.

About a week later I messed up my lower back and made and appointment with a chiropractor. He was checking me over and asked about the knot in my neck. He worked that over and my lower back too. Arm pain is probably 90% better! Plus it didn't cost me a dime.

Nothing wrong with chiropractors.
It was a chiropractor who actually diagnosed my back as being broken without laying a hand on it,just from looking at it.
Those clowns at the va had been pumping me full of pain killers and muscle relaxers for years, causing my heart problems.
So I'll put my money on a chiropractor anyday when it comes to back/joint pain.

what happens if you crimp with the other hand? still get pain? since it's painful in multiple locations it's probably a pinched nerve. been there, had that.

I'll feel the same feeling on the other side, although not nearly as bad. It's either one side or the other, never at the same time, sometimes it disappears totally on the main side that usually aches and switches to the other side with no ryhm or reason.

Although I did pull some wet laundry out earlier today and felt it on both sides at the same time. I hate that side load washer. Lol That blanket was heavy.

yep, probly a pinched nerve. the pain comes and goes and it is not a specific point but a generalized area. had one 18 years ago at the C6-7 level. the pain I was getting was consistent enough to advise which particular nerve and where. the CAT scan confirmed it. all your nerves branch out at certain spinal disc locations. c6 is thumb to middle finger, c7 is ring and little, that's how they were able to determine.
start paying to WHERE it hurts(below the ribs, front, back, etc), HOW it hurts (generalized or specific), and WHAT (leaning left/right, bent over, standing up, etc) position you are in when it hurts. my CAT scan confirmed the problem was more to the left based on what I had to do to alleviate the pain (raise left arm, rotate head to the right with slight tilt forward) and what positions I experienced pain in.

Even someone making me mad can make it hurt. Or stressing me out.

Back pain *****. I had chronic pain for about 15 years before I injured mine bad enough for surgery to be an option. Herniated two discs and needed a microdiscectomy. Leading up to it, It progressed from occasional pain down my leg to the point where I could barely stand.

Don't get an adjustment. Get it dealt with for real, with imaging and whatever else your ortho recommends.

What brand wire crimpers? Therein could be the problem.

No seriously. See chiropractor first then orthopedic doctor next.

go to a real Dr who will prescribe opiates?.... instead of a chiropractor who will fix your spine without drugs... and the chiropractor is insane? Lmao...
I took no opiates in the course of dealing with my back outside of the fentanyl they gave me after surgery in the hospital.

You do have a choice on what you take

When you use the crimpers, you’re just squeezing them using your hands? Your not placing them on your hip and pushing against your hip?
Yes. That's just an example though. Just about anything that put a strain on the hip will do it.

I just don’t understand how squeezing with your hands puts pressure on your hip? Maybe some inflammation around your spine is irritated when you flex certain muscles? Like you‘re putting pressure on a cluster of nerves or something?

Well actually I was pushing it against my leg. Sometimes I'll push them against the ground. So usually I'm bent over.

I like chiros.. but you gotta find a good one, there are plenty who do x-rays and all this other bs just trying to milk you of money.

I had a shoulder injury to both my shoulders at one time or another. The left was the worst, nerve pain I could only escape by sitting or lying down a certain way,.. Went to the chiro who happened to be a neighbor of mine and he adjusted me and did a tens unit then deep tissue massage. 3 visits stopped bothering me totally. I def injured the shoulder/rotator cuff tho as years later if I do something just right they bother me.

Definately sounds like you are too tight....you said GROIN PAIN? I've been dealing with right 'high hip' 'rotated hip' issues for years now. It's caused everything from a pulled groin to, most recently, sciatic nerve pain......which I never had before but is NO JOKE!! I finally got sick and tired of it. Oh yes, the chiropracter would get me fixed back up after 2 or 3 visits, but I wanted a PERMANENT fix. I spent about a week of evenings and 2 solid weekends researching my issues and watching videos. As of right now, it's been about 4 months since I've had any pain. And I plan on keeping it this way. THE KEY IS STRETCHING!!! EVERY DAY!! I was so tight in my psoas, piriformis, hamstrings, and hip flexors that every time I'd pick up something heavy or just lean over sometimes it would PULL my hip out of whack. Basic toe touch, figure 4, butterfly groin, and lunge stretches healed me up and have kept me in good shape. I STILL CAN'T touch my toes but I'm now within about 4 inches instead of barely touching my shins when I first started.LOL!

Anyway, just a thought about how overall stiffness can CERTAINLY affect movement and cause pain.

Yeah I can't pick up much anymore. 40 pounds maybe is about all I'm willing to pickup.

It's difficult determining the source without a physical exam; but, multiple possibilities including:

trochanteric bursitis
IT band syndrome
osteoarthritis
labral tear
lumbar radiculopathy (pinched nerve in the back)
sacroiliitis

If you google each of these pathologies and click image, you will see a referral pattern which may give you a better idea of where it's coming from. There are tests that can be done in the office to help narrow the list down and imaging may be needed for further direction as well.(y)

Went to the chiropractor. I forgot the term he used but he said one of the joints in my lower back was closer than the others causing the stiff leg. I think the term he used was fused together. He wants me to come back for adjustments 3 times a week. There's one area in my neck too that's closer together than the other vertebrates or whatever they're called. I dont sew how multiple adjustments per week are supposed to put everything into place.

With that being said, I do feel better after he adjusted me yesterday. Hard to say though because some days are better than others.
