that'll be reasonable to keep up with for sure. They usually release a few variations per year.
I picked up most of my older/special edition ones when the prices were a bit more reasonable than they are now. No way I could afford some of the ones I have for what they're selling for on ebay these days.

Seems like most of us "accumulators" have "working" tools as well as jewelry.

In my case the workers are an orange I bought in '86-'88 and a black one I found in the highway near my house.

I have 3 or for that I actually use. My original black one is from the late 80's and still works like a charm and never needed to be rebuilt....

My collection started with an Orange GJ Secret Santa gift years ago. Now I have about 10-12 drivers in my collection but 1 older green one I use.

My working driver the plastic selector split apart on it, so I ordered a new one from SO as well as a new cap (it had the rubber washer style). My first experience taking one of these apart. Not the most enjoyable thing to repair but got it done and it's good as new.

I saw some ideas for displaying - any ideas for storage? I have some that are in their cardboard boxes, one in an old style plastic box, and some that are unboxed.

So many great looking screwdrivers in this thread ! I only have 3 screwdrivers plus a black ratcheting 1/4 inch socket driver. Red one is a Dale Earnhardt edition I bought in the mid 90s.

Why is the black and green handle larger than the rest?

I open all of mine for display. The boxes they come in are all stored in plastic totes.

I had to create a list to keep track of mine. I have 44 of them now.

That's including a couple stubby's and a few pistol grips.

But I still don't have a good way to display them. And a number of them are still in their original boxes and sealed (like anniversary editions, etc.).

I have one that I bought in the days of sealed beam headlights. Phillips and torx bits fit in the handle.

Haven’t used it much in the last 20 years. Seems like I grab the battery powered stuff now.

Every time I think of getting rid of it, I think that I may find another handy use for it.

I've not been a collector of any Snap-on tools except for in 1988 when I had a car serviced. The mechanic left an orange handle ratcheting screwdriver under my front seat, complete with some bits inside the handle. I didn't find it until months later when I had relocated to the west coast for a bit.

This screwdriver has fallen a few times and broke the cap off of the bit storage. A small amount of JB weld took care of that. Still working well.

I'm hoping my fellow GJ SO ratcheting screwdriver brethren can offer some help. I love these things and have several I've purchased over many years. I have a not so old SSDMR4BRWB and the plastic selector collar cap has cracked and broken. Is this part available? This is the red, white and blue edition so that selector collar is blue. Appreciate if you have a part # and source for replacement.

Closest I could find that I *think* is the right part isn't the right blue. It's listed as pearl blue which I think is a lighter blue vs the blue on the RWB driver you have.

But good news is that part is covered by SO's warranty so you should be able to call and have it replaced. Just use the part number of the driver and they will be able to locate the part.

Unfortunately, blue reverse collars are not available. However, I was able to pick up a replacement collar and end cap in teal. Originally, wasn’t thrilled about the idea. But saw the Miami Dolphins edition in Vrod-Mike’s and thought heck, I’ll make a “Miami Vice edition”. Doesn’t look as bad as I thought. Better yet, it’s now functional! You can see the split in the old blue collar.

I have one SnapOn ratchet screwdriver. Is that a collection?
I bought one of the SnapOn electric screwdrivers over 30 years ago. The price was good on this Craigslist offer, so I bought it. Now, I have 2
