More than likely the wrong tool for the job, but..... I was using my ball joint press to push in new bushing sleeves in some control arms. Even with a great assortment of adapters. I still had to revert to using some 3/4" sockets to push them in and out. I was successful. I was wondering if any one makes adapter to hold a socket to a ball press screw or other such device.

Hahaha, you needed and even greater assortment.

I was interested in the Snapon ball joint press at one time and their videos were showing how many different combinations they could handle. It was took expensive so I just continued using sockets myself.

I have this, a wicked handy little press for all kinds of uses!
If I had seen this when I was in a buying mood, I would have jumped in the car and bought one right away. They have a dealer 20 km from me.

The thing that's really appealing is that it's built to snap socket on to the frame. A traditional press the sockets are all over the place and you spend half your time aligning them just right.

Honestly I even have a harbor freight maddox branded ball joint/drive line press. For the cost its handy, but it doesnt have everything. The matco/tiger tool one looks super nice and handy..but for that price Ill keep using sockets. if I was a pro it might be a different.

That's what I thought, but now.... if I lost my snappy one I'd go buy another.

The tiger one looks like at least a good try in immigration.

I seem to remember Astro offering one up sometime over the last couple years.

I have the OTC set and it came with a lot of adapters, but nothing wrong with using sockets. I keep a set of 3/4 Chinesium ones with my hydraulic press.
This is the unit I have. It is also the last tool that I lent out.
One of the guys I worked with asked to borrow this "C" press. After a few weeks I called and asked to have my tool back. He said he was going on holidays in a few hours and I will have to wait. I asked to talk to his wife. I told her that I am coming over to get my tool back, now. She said she will have her husband stop by my shop on their way out of town. In less than an hour I had my tool back.
I suffered a long list of disappointments from lending tools. I am not here to support your hobby. Back in the day, my projects had to wait while I would round up the money to buy a support tool. My few most trusted friends put stress on our relationships over tool lending.

I'm going to try to order the adapter from Matco. The Tiger only has 1/2". Didn't find any thing on Astro's site. All else fails I can weld some thing together.
